"Jimin, let me explain," Jungkook tried to speak again.
"We will talk about this later. Eomma and Appa are coming in a few minutes, so please put your clothes on," Jimin said with a broken voice.
"But Jimin-"
"Please, Jungkook. Please. And tell her to wear clothes too."
Jungkook quickly dressed, picked his clothes up from the floor, and looked at the girl with bloodshot eyes. "Put your clothes on and get out of here."
Jungkook finished speaking, and he tried to follow him, but Jimin stopped him.
"Stay still in the room. It's not like you haven't seen her naked before," Jimin said, venom in his voice.
"Jimin, please just listen to me one time. I don't kn-"
Before Jungkook could say anything, his ex walked out of the room and said, "Thanks, Jungkook, for the best time," with a smirk as she left the apartment."Best time," Jimin repeated, his voice breaking even more.
Jimin felt dizzy and was about to fall, but Jungkook caught him in his arms. "Jimin, are you okay, baby? Do you want to go to the hospi-"
"I'm okay. You don't have to worry about me. And put on some perfume; you're reeking of her smell," Jimin said in a straight voice.
Jungkook slowly nodded and went to the bedroom.
A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. Jimin wiped his tears with his hands and stood up from the couch to open the door.
"Aww, my Jiminie," his mother-in-law cooed, looking at Jimin.
"Welcome, Eomma. How are you and Appa?" Jimin smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes, and looked at his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
"We're fit and fine. How are my tiny grandchildren, huh? And you?" his father-in-law asked.
"I'm fine, Appa. Please, come inside."
Jimin looked at his in-laws and smiled, feeling a deep sense of gratitude and warmth.
From the moment he entered their family, they had showered him with love and support. It was as if they had sensed the void left by his parents, who were no longer alive, and had taken it upon themselves to fill that gap with their unwavering care and affection.
Together, they had given Jimin the familial love he had yearned for since losing his parents. They included him in every family event, celebrated his achievements, and stood by him during his struggles. They had made him feel as if he truly belonged as if he were their flesh and blood. This sense of belonging and acceptance meant everything to Jimin.
"Where is our Jungkookie, huh? And did you get your surprise that you were talking about?" his mother-in-law asked, breaking his thoughts.
Jimin smiled bitterly, thinking to himself, "Yes, he got his surprise which he will never forget in his life."
"No, Eomma, not yet," he lied smoothly, masking his pain with a gentle tone.
As Jimin completed his sentence Jungkook came out from the bedroom
"See, our soon-to-be Appa has finally arrived," Mrs. Jeon said, laughing with her husband. He hugged his parents. "How are you, Eomma? Appa?"
"We're fine. What could happen to us? We're so excited for our grandchild," Mrs. Jeon said with a wide smile.
Jimin smiled, feeling a little relieved in his heart after the earlier drama.
As he looked at Jungkook, he noticed Jungkook was already looking at him.
They held eye contact for a few minutes, during which Jungkook's eyes seemed to want to tell him so many things, but Jimin was not ready for more.
"Let me make some dinner for us because our cute couple is busy looking at each other," Mr. Jeon teased as they broke eye contact.
"No, Eomma, it's not like that. Let me help you," Jimin said.
"No, Jimin, you sit here with Eomma and Appa. I will make dinner," Jungkook said to Jimin with worry in his voice.
"Aww, how caring," Mr. Jeon said with a smile.
"Only I know how caring," Jimin thought to himself.
