It was a beautiful evening in Seoul, the city bathed in the warm hues of the setting sun.

Park Jimin unlocked the door to the apartment he shared with his husband, Jeon Jungkook, a soft huff escaping his lips.

He placed a gentle hand on his swollen belly, feeling the reassuring kicks of his eight-month-pregnant twins.

"Are you tired, my babies?" he murmured softly, a tender smile gracing his lips. The babies kicked in answer.

"Hmm, naughty kids. Here I am carrying you, and you're tired," Jimin chuckled.

It had become a habit for him to talk with his babies. He couldn't wait any longer to meet them and live a long life with his Kookie and their children.

As he finished talking with his babies, he noticed the apartment was unusually silent.

Jimin furrowed his brows, glancing around. But muffled sounds were coming from the room he shared with his husband.

He put the snack bag on the kitchen counter. Being pregnant, he couldn't fight his mood swings, so he had brought lots of snacks along with banana milk, obviously his husband's favorite.

It had been a whole day since Jimin had talked to his husband. Jungkook had been very busy lately with his responsibilities as CEO, and Jimin missed him terribly.

He couldn't wait to cuddle with his husband and have their nightly conversations with their small family.

Smiling widely at the thought, he took a step towards their bedroom.

But a phone call stopped him in his tracks. He looked at the screen, which displayed "EOMMA," and his smile widened as he answered.

"Hello, Eomma," he said softly, a smile in his voice.

"Hello, my Jiminie! How are you and my little potatoes? And how's my big potato?"

Jimin laughed. "I'm doing well, and your big potato is also doing well."

"That's good to hear. Are you and Kookie at home right now?" his mother-in-law asked.

"Yes, Eomma. I just got home from the hospital, and I think Kookie is also home."

"Didn't Kookie go with you to the hospital for your checkup? Why did you go alone? You should have called me, Jiminie."

"No, Eomma, I'm alright to go alone. Kookie was busy today, but I think he's preparing something for me in our room," Jimin said, glancing at the bedroom door and smiling.

"Oh, very romantic. So, Jiminie, your Appa and I are near your house because we came here for some work. We're coming to meet you and my little potatoes."

"Oh, that would be great, Eomma! I'm waiting. Come fast!"

Jimin smiled and again took a step to go to their shared room but as he went near to his room he heard muffled voices coming from their bedroom. His heart started to race, an inexplicable feeling of dread settling in.

He was confused, he was feeling something was not right but he thought maybe its his pregnancy hormones.

He took deep breath put his palm on doorknob and pushed open the bedroom door and froze at the sight before him.

His entire world crash down in an instant. All his dreams and promises were broken in a second.

A single tear flowed from his left eye as he saw Jungkook in bed with a girl, their bodies entwined in a way that left no room for misinterpretation, just like they used to be.

Jungkook's eyes widened in shock when he saw Jimin standing in the doorway.

"Jimin," he softly mumbled.

Jimin broke eye contact with Jungkook and looked at the girl, recognizing her as Jungkook's ex-girlfriend.

He smiled sadly and thought, "You chose her again."

The pain in Jimin's chest was unbearable. His vision blurred with tears as he clutched his swollen belly protectively.

The betrayal was too much to bear.
