".... Geram was reportedly killed duri-..."

"Damnit, why couldn't we do anything..."

Paul stalheim lamented on the devastation, after all. He was airforce commander, and it was his flyboy's that died on this day.

*Ring ring! Ring ring! Ring ring!*

He turned off the tv, got up and picked up the phone.

"Toro residences..."

"General stalheim, you are to report to army command in 0930"

"Of course"

The line dropped as he went to get his coat, his wife was in the kitchen making breakfast for them all.

"Oh dear, dont tell me they called you up again" she questioned

"Sorry, duty calls. Also i need to get food on the table."

"Well, don't come home too late. The kids get riled up when you come home"

"Yes ma'am."

He responded as he kissed her on the cheek. He then proceeded to get the car keys and head out to army command.

Slava Rodiny
Camp slava army command center
January 7th, 1941

The building was large, it had a brutalist style but at the same time had elegance second only to the people's building a mile south of it.

Inside the situation room the entire general staff had convened. All of the generals were there excluding those who could'nt make it. Paul had taken the seat just a row behind the front. There he met with general John Geralf.

"General Paul, how are you today?"

"Not good, damnit it was supposed to be my day off"

Paul replied with a hint of anger and agitation.

"Well, it can't be helped, the nation is at war. The president is making a speech later on. Plus five cities lay in dust.

"I guess that is true-..."

"Attention!!"

A soldier shouted, all of the generals stood up as the minister of defence along with the chief of the armed forces

"At ease gentlemen"

The rest of the general's sat down.

"Subject of today: i know you all have heard of the bombing's."

The generals started murmuring among themselves

"I know, i know it has come to a shock to all of us. But we must stay calm-"

"Calm?? How could we remain calm! Those backstabbing fascists just pummeled our most prized cities! And how many planes did we take down? 19 out of possibly 400 planes! While we have taken over more than 100 of our own! We need to strike back!"

The rest of the generals nodded in agreement

"Oh god's, its Hemstead... i should've known he'd be here"

General Hemstead was a very wise individual, but he was prone to lashing out in rage infront of other's. So much so that even his son had signed him up for anger management class. Even when he was a very agitated old man, he was still very respected among his other generals.
