Leaving them where they already are so as to not alert people to the fact that something has changed about it.
The well known cursed status meaning no one would notice much of a difference once its a horcrux, mostly muggle related items so the wizarding population wouldn't consider them, and they're protected from the general public while permitted people still regularly try to visit to see if they can see something paranormal, increasing the chances of possessing them for Resurrection.
Bonus is an entire community of paranormal enthusiasts loudly losing its shit if it ever disappears, so at the very least, He'd be warned very quickly if someone is destroying them.
