It's me Marcus, back with another Nano Judge Update! Congrats, Congrats, Congratulations!!! To all shortlisters. You people really are troopers and a bunch of hard knocks that's for sure. You know when we said that judging for the shortlist was gonna be tough, we didn't actually mean for you to make it hard. Come on guys...get with the program!

Ok but jokes aside, picking those who would make the cut was not easy. There were many delectable flavours to each story and in a perfect world we would take them all on our plate. But alas, it's not a perfect world and the plate is only so big.
Another factor that the team has talked about is that this year we saw a higher turnout of notable community members. And with their turnout they brought their A game. But before anyone despairs remember there is nothing to be gained on our end. This competition solely profits you the peeps and we'll like to keep it that way. So, there is no need to worry about biases or this turning into the Wattys...in that way. Cool? Cool!
Now for some crunchy numbers.
Out of the 78 entrants that made the long lists 53 made it to the Shortlist!!!!
