Doni's POV:


"Duu-de, Liger like would not stop screaming, we had a welfare check called on us!" Bionic says to me, I laugh in response rather darkly; "I'm surprised Quiff hadn't yelled at you guys yet-" I say, fluttering my wings behind my back as Bionic's face turns cold. "Yeaaahhh I think he was napping.."
"Welp, you two have fun dealing with him!" I ended the call abruptly as they were both probably screwed.

I rolled off of the sofa lazily as I stretched, I wondered what Lynix had been up to, considering I mainly was over for the week for a vlog but he claimed he needed to record a video with Kiply and her friends first.
I met Batman by the hook of the stairs to the second floor, and knelt to pet the cat as its soft fur ran between my fingers.
He purred, flicking his tail against my calf lovingly. Before trotting up the stairs towards Lynix's room.
I un-knelt and followed, lightly trotting behind the feline as it propped the door open. The blonde groaned and shifted in not his chair, but his bed? I did notice earlier Lynix seemed more on the tired side..

I walked in, confused. "Lyyyy-nix, when are we doing the vlog?" I tranced by his bed, where he was still fully clothed but I noticed something-

For his birthday, for context, I gave Lynix this flip-squid in green and a yellowish orange to match our colors.
This time it was on the angry-green side, facing directly at me as he hid his head under the covers. I still saw soft blonde tufts of hair sticking out by the top of his pillow.

My tone shifted from needy-ish to confused. "What's wrong??" With a hint of urgency, I crashed myself beside him on the bed as he mumbled something, grabbed the squid from the side of the bed and plopped it on my arm.
I turned to him, putting the squid against my face as I slowly uncovered the blanket from his face.

His aqua blue eyes looked directly at mine, innocently blinking at me as he pretended to be upset at me.
I nuzzled the plush in his face with a small laugh, cooing; "Why are you mad at meee~"
Lynix let out a giggle and pushed me jokingly, attempting to get me off of the bed but I refused to budge.
"Lynnniiiixxxx, love meee!" I giggled, rubbing the stuffed animal more in his face and a bit on his lips, so I could stop him from his playful jabs.
"Donnii, stooopp.." Lynix complained, tussling the plush out of his face as he swatted my arm away. I took full advantage of this, kissing whatever small amount of his face that was uncovered.
He made some familiarly flustered sounds while cuddling me close, my kisses eventually granting allowance into the blanket as I un-did the covers, wrapping us together comfortably.
He nestled up to me with a huff, and I just giggled girlishly. "Soo, why are you so moody?" I hummed, running one hand through his soft hair, another hooking the trim of his shorts.

He gave me a warningly stern glance, my face dimmed lightly which was lifted with soft lips along my chin. "Not tonight, we're vlogging soon, remember?" Lynix dismisses my question, but I don't really mind- He seemed tired anyway, the video can wait.
"You down for a nap then, princess?" I lowered my voice, matching Lynix's softening grip. He hugged my chest lightly and kept his head tipped up to my chin, with a content smile on his face.

Tiredly, departing one of his hands from my chest, be reached over for the plushie, and flipped it to its happy orangeish side.
I flashed a grin as Lynix pushed himself closer to me, clearly enjoying the body heat. In the midst of his comfort;
"To answer your question.. you took up the blanket this morning and I couldn't sleep, so I'm tired-" Lynix muffled. His innocently clear eyes fluttered at me which made my heart ache in all of the most wonderful ways.
"God, stop being so cute.." I grumbled, hugging him tight to me as I felt my wings soften behind me.
