Sam's POV

*tinkling...* *tinkling...*

"Hello there, Madame! Good day. What can I do for you?" says a saleslady to a customer who has just entered.

"Pssst! Samantha!"

I immediately turned my head to my right, where I heard someone call my name.

By the way, I'm currently displaying stunning outfits on the dummies to appeal all the people who enter. It was almost lunchtime, so there were couple of consumers coming in.

"Yes, Eula?" I inquired as I noticed she was staring at me intently.

"Let's have our lunch together. There's a newly opened coffee shop on the next block. Besides, there aren't many customers," she muttered as she nonchalantly looked at the front door.

"Loka! It's too early for the lunch time," I exclaimed, chuckling at her. I wrapped up what I was doing, so I was able to get close to where she was. Where the costly shoes shelf is located.

"Gaga! That's alright! Sir Gen told me a while ago that we can have an early lunch now if there aren't plenty customers."

"Hey, two fools! Chatting there just because there are no customers today," Yoonah said as she approached the two of us.

"I just wanted to have an early lunch with Sam at the new coffee shop nearby; do you want to join us?" she asks, raising her eyebrows as she invites Yoonah as well.

"You're crazy! Nobody will be monitoring the shop when we leave. And, why would you have lunch at the coffee shop? As if there are any lunch meals there," Yoonah scoffed.

"Well, they offer meals for lunch. I saw on the menu they had displayed on their mini board outside when I was walking by ," Eula claimed.

"Ehh, nobody else will guard the shop!"

*tinkling...* *tinkling...*

We turned to face the shop's entrance when its bell rung, indicating that someone had arrived. Just as the two glanced at each other, I was pushed to a man who was heading towards where we were.

I grimaced when I turned to face them, but they simply smiled. I took a big breath before finally speaking. He came to a halt just in front of me, as if he was waiting for what I would say.

"Uhm... W-Wallace..." I stammered, my gaze riveted on his black leather shoes.

"You may take your lunch, Sam. Don't worry," he chuckled as he patted my shoulders and walked towards the back room, that contains the lockers and supplies.

The females slapped me on the shoulder after he vanished completely.

Yoonah slapped my arm, saying, "Girl! Ackkk! I'm thrilled!"

"Now tell me that man doesn't like you. You're an idiot, Sam! You're so numb!" Eula said while giggling.

"You're absolutely crazy! Let's head out for lunch," I irritatedly stated to the two before leaving the store.

When we arrived at the coffee shop mentioned by Eula, we promptly ordered our food. We also sought for somewhere to sit while waiting for our orders.

"Do you know why Sam disputes that Wallace likes her?" Eula asked, beaming at me.

Yoonah continued, giggling, "Because she's waiting for the police!" I rolled my eyes at them, but they simply laughed even harder.

"Sis, what? There's still no update from that police officer of yours? You just keep stalking him, yet you fail to chat," Yoonah pointed out me.

"Real! She persistently followed, to find out that he became a cop after three years. Haiist, Samantha Kang," Eula added with a sneer.

"I understand people are busy, alright! Also, why would I initiate the first move? I'm a woman, duh!"

"There. There! That's the main reason why you don't have a love life, ehh," the two stated together.

"Hey, aren't we having an alumni event this coming Saturday at our former high school? He'll be present for sure," says Yoonah.

"The issue to consider is... will Samantha go? For sure, she will prioritize work even on weekends," Eula protested.

"Order for Miss Yoonah! Order for Miss Yoonah!" shouted the cashier personnel behind the counter.

Yoonah pointed out, "It's our order! Wait!" and then stood up.

"Come on, Sam. Help me carry our orders."

We gently took the tray of food and beverages we had ordered. However, it appears that Yoonah is unable to remain silent.

"Sam, quick question. It's just a random thought. Don't be upset,"

I gave her a puzzled glance.

"What if Wallace really likes you... would you agree if he asked to court you?" she seriously inquired.

"Why did you conclude that?"

She shrugged before responding, "Nothing."

I groaned before approaching our table and setting down a tray containing solely drinks.

"I must admit, Wallace is good-looking. He works well, is compassionate, a gentleman, and he is approachable to everyone,"

"Just a correction, sis. He is kind, gentlemanly, and approachable just for you," Eula amended my statement.

"Crap! I don't intend to hope for something I can't attain. In short, I possess no expectation on him, duh!"

"Sis, I wouldn't have bothered you this question if we hadn't observed that the guy had no crush on you," Yoonah emphasized.

"Let's just eat, beh!" I remarked, and immediately began devouring the lasagna I had ordered.

After some time had passed, I had no idea we were about to leave the store. Sir Gen appeared just in time, a huge smile almost touching his ears plastered on his face.

"Sir Gen, we seem happy today, ahh. Good news, sir?" Yoonah inquired as she grabbed her carry-on bag.

We've been working in this fashion and jewelry shop for a long time, so we're sure become close to our manager, Sir Genesis, or Sir Gen for short. It's exceptionally good that he's nice and knows how to get along, so our job is just as easy.

"You're right, Yoonah! Our sales have been high for the past two months, and they're still high this month!" the announcement was greeted with applause.

"Hey! Congratulations to all of us!" Eula exclaimed while clapping.

"Maybe it's because of Wallace," Yoonah remarked, which made Sir Gen laugh, but Wallace had no emotion.

"Wallace is not the only reason why our sales are high. Your work is impressive so it is likely that our sales are also doing well," Sir Gen praised us all.

"And because of that, we will all celebrate today at the Xylo! Call the others and tell them to come. When someone opposes to come, tell them that we have a day off tomorrow so they should come," added Sir Gen.

"Yes! Party party!" Eula and Yoonah screamed at the same time, dancing in the middle as if they were in a nightclub.

"Ehh Sir, how about our outfit? We don't have extra clothes for the party?" said Eula in response. I think I know where this is going.

"Okay fine! Didn't new items arrive yesterday? Get some from there and I'll take care of paying for what you get," remarked Sir Gen helplessly.

"How 'bout you, Wallace, darling? I think your OOTD is already fantastic. You seem to have anticipated where we are going tonight," I heard Sir Gen commented. I could hear Wallace's quiet giggle before we finally entered the back room.
