Jonas' POV

[Lauren, this is your brother. I can't contact you; perhaps you're still in school. Sorry, Lauren. I can't pick you up after school since there's so much work to be done. I will get back to you. Do not wait outside for the night, and do not leave the house when you get home. Your brother might come home tomorrow. Take care.]

"What's the update?" I asked as soon as I arrived at the station. I noticed that everyone is preoccupied with their individual work. Almost everyone is currently working on an investigation case.
They no longer looked at me, but instead placed folders and paperwork on my desk regarding the missing ladies in Excalibur Village.
Inspector Henry Canlas, a white-skinned police officer, responded, "As of now, our fellow officers are still interrogating the last people who were with the missing woman, aged 22. She was last seen in XYLO, together with her coworkers, and they are having a blast for their company's high sales." He gave me some images and information on the new case.
"How did we confirm that the individual in question is the one who abducted the woman?" I asked, examining the images from the bar's CCTV footage and the village gate entrance. My heart sank as I recognized the woman in the picture as someone familiar to me.
"As we were investigating near the place where the girl lived, a witness surfaced. He said that while drinking coffee and talking on the phone on the terrace of his house, he saw a black car passing by around 11:08 p.m. It was as if the car was following someone. He was right, he just saw the car stop near the woman. He disregarded it because she had voluntarily gotten into the car," said Inspector Dion Peralta, our youngest colleague, as he handed me a folder containing the testimony of the witnesses.
"These are the latest updates from her colleagues' testimonies. According to them, she left just before 10 p.m., the time before the curfew in their area. She was alone and they knew she already booked a car for her to drive home. Thirty minutes after she left, her other two male workmates also went home," he added.
"Chief Inspector Jonas Wen," a strong voice called, prompting us to stand straight and formally greeting the newly arrived, Sr. Supt. Miguel Kang.
"How's the case going?" he asked. I took a brief glance at his sharp eyes and serious face before grabbing the folder containing details about the new victim's disappearance.
"We have some leads to our suspect, but there is still no certainty or sufficient evidence as to whether he is the perpetrator in all cases of the missing women in Excalibur Village," I reported after giving him the folder. He took it carefully and quietly studied all of the information that was written there.
"There are two people you haven't been investigated yet; take them to the police station and question them," he said, setting the folder on the table.
"No one will stop until you find my daughter."
We immediately began working on our allotted tasks with responsibilities after he had left. As I was gathering the papers on my table, I got distracted by my sister, Lauren's photo frame.
I felt someone tapping on my shoulder. I turned around to see Henry peering at my fist.
"Don't worry, Jonas. We will certainly give justice to your sister," he whispered tenderly, before walking straight to the interrogation room.
