The party started as soon as the dusk came. Nobles and Chiefs troped in with their horse carriages. The dark made the pearly decorations sparkle beautifully. The dress theme colors, white and black made it even more beautiful. Inside the ball house, the party went in full swing. Musicians played their instruments of violins, pianos and guitars. There was drinking, dancing and talking. Everyone was having the best time.

"ATTENTION!" A fat man wearing a long ash robe with large sleeves shouted.

Everyone immediately stopped what they were doing and made way for whoever was coming.

"Gracing us with his presence tonight, King Ahimayu and the Royal Family."

A tall majestic man walked into the room first. Next were his family according to their order of age walked in: the King's brother and sister, the Crown Prince, the Crown Princess and their son, the second, third, fourth and fifth princes with their wives and children, the sixth prince and the King's daughter walked in, holding a little boy's hand.
They wore the colours of white, black and gold. The men wore long white robes of silk while the women wore white flowing corset dresses. There were gold intricate designs on them. Their ornate collars had the same designs. Black cloaks with billowy sleeves and gold designs were worn over them. While the King, Crown Prince and Crown Princess wore three layers of beaded necklaces and big gold pendants, the princes wore necklaces of red and white beads and the princesses wore stunning necklaces of rubies surrounded by halos of pearls, complemented by ruby earrings.
The people bowed their heads as they walked in. A white throne chair stood at the end of the room. The King walked towards the chair and sat down while the family stood around him.

"Well then, let the birthday celebration begin." King Ahimayu said.

The people applauded and cheered. Music started playing and everyone went back to what they did before. The family also went to meet their guests, except the Crown Prince Benam. A man and two girls walked to the King and bowed.

"Your Majesty." He and the girls greeted.

The King smiled. "Aga Oskha. You are welcome. You too, twins."

The girls smiled widely. Aga Oskha turned to them.

"Go and meet your cousins, dear. I'm sure they will be happy seeing the both of you." He said.

The girls nodded their heads and bowed one more time to the King before leaving. Aga Oskha turned to the King and the Crown Prince.

"Your Majesty and my Prince. I know state affairs isn't part of today's agenda but this one is very important."

King Ahimayu chuckled. "You brought business to a birthday celebration? How very typical of you."

Oskha gave a light smile. "I apologize, Your Majesty. It's really urgent."

"Well, go on. What is this urgent state affair that couldn't wait till tomorrow?" The King asked.

Oskha moved closer to the King. "There are some rebels from Xere, trying to invade the Southern region. They say that the blue stone mines belong to them."

"What blue stone mines?" The King inquired.

"The ones in the re..."

"I know where the mines are, Oskha." The King interrupted. "I mean, what mines? Why do they want the mines? Which one are they talking about?"

"There are some that are closer to Xere. I think those are the ones." Prince Benam added.

The King looked as though he was in deep thought. "We will talk about this tomorrow. Today is a celebration and I am not letting some unknown rebels ruin it." Then, he patted Oskha on his shoulder. "Enjoy yourself, son."
