He never thought such cruelty was possible, that was until his parents were murdered. The life he once knew torn away, just like the rope that was meant to support his parents on the trapeze. Some things never change. His life became a blur after that, a whirlwind of change taking him from one place to another just like a little bird in the winter. That's what he was under all of the masks and pretty family portraits, a bird flying from the cold harsh winter, always on the move.

Times have changed for Dick. He became a hero - not just any ordinary hero, he became the symbol of trust within the superhero community. But he has other things to worry about, such as the fact that Alfred is calling him  at 2:29 am.

"Hello Alfred?" He speaks, expecting another voice on the other end, which he doesn't get for 20 seconds but eventually, Alfred's voice speaks over the line.

"Master Dick, Master Bruce has disappeared" The old man speaks. Dick can almost feel the alarm from his voice. It couldn't be that bad, right? "4 weeks. Gotham has been in chaos.". It is that bad.

"Well what do you want me to do about it?" Dick says, which he later found a little condescending in nature. Oh well. He got the point across.

"We need you in Gotham." Alfred says.

"I'm not becoming Batman again-" He tries to assert but Alfred cuts him off.

"No need, Richard. Nightwing is enough. He always has been." He tells the young man. That struck a chord within him. Nightwing is enough. Nightwing is enough. Nightwing is-

"On my way." Dick stated, a certain fire in his voice.
