Taehyung

I woke up feeling giddy. Last night was like a flashback into the past. I knew Jungkook at one point, but when? I get up and take a bath. The warm water immediately makes me feel better. I feel like a child as I hold my breath and plunge my head underwater.

The memory of Jungkook holding my hand works its way to my head. I got back up, taking a deep breath. I know for sure that the person in my visions is Jungkook, but, why can't I remember? What happened? I hear a knock on the door. “Yeah?” I say. I hear Kiere’s voice outside the door. “The King is calling you for breakfast.”

“I'll be out.” I get out of the bathtub, wrapping a white towel around my waist. I dry my hair with another towel and comb it back before heading into my closet. I didn't see Kiere in the room.

I find my uniform and change back in the bathroom. After finishing, I come out to find Kiere looking inside the makeup chest.

God, why was this woman sneaking around? I come up behind her to grab the lip oil and she flinches. “What are you doing?” I question, my eyes serious.

“I was looking for the lip oil too. I was going to give it to you,” she says, looking down. I scoff, and leave the room.

I find my family and Anastasia at the table eating. “Sorry I'm late,” I say, bowing to my family. I catch Jihoon rolling his eyes. I sit down at the table, and start eating. I listen to my father drone on about how a kingdom should be cherished.

I already know all this.

“Taehyung.” He suddenly calls my name. “I need you to go to Hollow Acres and request a crop check. There are rumors of a plant killing weed.” I nod.

After breakfast, my parents leave the room and Jihoon sends bodyguards for me. I spot Anastasia talking to one of the maids. I walk over. “Are you going to be okay while I'm gone?” I ask. She smiles. “I'll be okay, Kim. I'll make you some sweet and sour chicken when you get back.”

My mouth waters. Anastasia was an excellent cook, and she made meals for me and her family all the time. I bet she and Jungkook are going to be best friends.

“Thank you. I'll be back in an hour.” She bows in goodbye and resumes her conversation with the maid. Taking the bodyguards with me, I step outside. The sun shines bright with a few clouds in the sky.

I start walking, with the bodyguards trailing behind me. This time, I go past the town square and towards the fields. The sign for Hollow Acres stands nearby, and I can see the fresh crops growing.

“Hey, Taehyung-ah!” I hear my name being called, and I see one of the owners, Seokjin, calling my name! “Jin!” I shout, a smile on my face. He engulfs me in a hug. “My gosh, it's been a while, how are you?” I break the hug and shrug. “Y'know forced marriage.”

He chuckles. “I know you're not here to say hello. What did the King request?” “My father sent me to ask you and Namjoon to do a crop check. Apparently there's a rumor about a plant killing weed going around.” Jin nods.

“We did a check yesterday, and I don't think there's anything there.” Taehyung nods. “Well, say hi to Namjoon for me.” Jin waves goodbye with a smile before heading back to the farm.

Jin and Namjoon have been friends with my father, and naturally, they knew our family well. I head back to the castle, and I pick out one of the fantasy books and sit on the balcony to read.

“We have successfully gotten back in, sir.” A man stood on the deck of an old port, smoking a cigar. “Good,” he says, his voice raspy. “Has my aide come back?” The reporter nods. “She is arriving now.” The man gazed out into the Grave Sea, where a small row boat with a lateen was seen slowly approaching the island.

Once the boat arrived, a figure stepped out gracefully. They were wearing an entirely black suit, their feminine curves highlighted for all to see. She spun a knife in her hand, looking bored. Her heels made loud clicks as she approached the man smoking.

“How's everything going?” the man asked. She smiled. “I made it in. They don't suspect anything. It all will go perfectly according to plan.” She walked away, heading into the accommodations on the island. The reporter looked at the man again. “Are you sure you will be able to pull this off?”

The man chuckled darkly. “Pull this off? If everyone doesn't fuck up, we will pull this off. The King won't even know what's coming.” The reporter shuffled nervously. “But, sir, what about your nephew?” The man scoffed. “He knows what he needs to do. Get close, pass the poison. Done.” “Wait, sir, did you know that your nephew-”

Boom.

The reporter thudded lifelessly to the ground. “I don't give a fuck. He’ll do his job.” The man puts his gun away in his pocket and looks out on the horizon, puffs of smoke coming out from his mouth. “You don't know what will come at ya, Prince.”
