"Excuse me N?"
The little goo demon looked up at the Persian cat hybrid before him. Gazing up into the violet eyes he had learned to fear. His small body trembled just from being in her presence, yet he was aware she was a vital part of this team.
N's ears perked up through the ears of her hood as she looked down at him. Chess piece in hand while she tilted her head. "Yes Nexus?"
"Would you know the whereabouts of Tidalscar and Mig-"
"Training room." She said dismissively. N was never a fan of the two. Even if they were known for their stoic personalities the two could never be serious around each other. Making things a lot more irritating for her. Cozbi, who was sat across from her, sighed in annoyance.
"If they're acting...raunchy, just come back here ok?"
He nodded at Cozbi. Feeling less nervous with her around as he walked off. Heading through the facility towards the training room. Air growling colder as he passed by Tidal's laboratory. It always reeked off chemicals and whatever rotting corpse he was experimenting on. He remembered walking in on him once. Seeing the body there was a...traumatising experience. Luckily, he soon reached the training room doors. The fluorescent cyan light reflecting onto his gooey body and clothes, and the noise inside? Well...
"You think you can take it!?"
"Please, harder!"
"Good boy~"Despite what he was told by Cozbi, he stepped in. Hoping not to see the two engaging in any intimate activity, which thankfully they weren't. Tidal just..had Miguel in a chokehold. Though the two immediately froze up, faces going red before Tidal shoved Miguel to the floor. Holding a foot over his back to keep him down.
"What?"
He snapped in his usual thick Russian accent. Tail lashing behind him. God he really was moody like every other black cat out there.
"U-uhm. It's just a package for you boss."
The oriental shorthair hybrid raised an eyebrow. Swiping the package out Nexus's hands and opening it to reveal...a small bundle of photos. All of seemingly random places around Arcadian Citadel. Strange. Who sent these? Miguel looked at the photo's too and ended up equally as confused. The camera work was beautiful, clearly a professional took these. Or they were just well edited. Not to mention each photo had a number written on the back from one to ten.
That's when it clicked for him. The camera work, the hand writing, the scenic locations. It was all a path. A trail of bread crumbs leading up to who took them. Only he had already worked it out.
"Tide?"
"Sir?"He remained silent for a few seconds before shoving the photos in his pocket and starting to walk out.
"Suit up. We got someone to meet."
