I felt so comfortable right now, I felt like I was floating on a cloud as I happily snuggled into whatever was covering me. But then, I slowly began to come back to my senses. ...Wait, what was I covered in? When did I even fall asleep? What was going on?
(Y/n)'s thoughts: Oh, I must've fallen asleep on Laval after our talk...
That must've been it, so I calmed down and brushed that thought aside afterward. I squirmed a bit in my current position and blinked, groggily, trying to wake up. Just then, I felt a pair of arms slightly tighten around me. At first, I thought it was Laval and that was that, but then I slowly realized that something wasn't right. The arms wrapped around me felt more...hard and scaly than Laval's soft, fluffy fur.
(Y/n)'s thoughts: ...Why do I smell fresh water and something...fishy?
I squirmed a little more, trying to get out of the arms of whoever was holding me, but just then, I heard a voice mumble in their sleep. ...It didn't sound like Laval at all.
???: Mmmm...Nooooo, just five more minutes, Mom.~
(Y/n)'s thoughts: Huh? That's not Laval's voice... Who is that? ...Am I dreaming?
I felt a little curious and I decided to speak up, my voice a little hoarse and raw.
You: L...Laval...?
???: ...*Groan*
I rubbed my blurry eyes, and the sound of my voice made my hugger stir and slowly wake up. After effectively wiping the sleep out of my eyes, I finally looked up to see who was holding me, watching as they woke up too, yawned, and then looked down at me.
