Morning came and just like normal Rae was up and working out. Lee Know would always arrive 20 minutes after her, but as always she ignored him and he did as well. Rae really didn't understand him and frankly wasn't going to especially after his outburst last night.
Lee Know hadn't really slept, he kept thinking about what he said to Rae and Jisung. He knew he was out of line but something about seeing them close made him snap, he had never felt like this before.
Rae was doing some lifting when the door opened abruptly, it made her jump causing the weight to slip out her hand. Lee Know instinctively pulled Rae out the way. Rae looked at him shocked, he had his arm around her waist and both were so close, she could smell his cologne. He has pretty eyes. "Sorry Rae, didn't mean to startle you." Chan was eyeing you both, and that's when Rae pulled away. "uh thanks." Lee Knows ears were bright red, Chan was laughing at how he was avoiding eye contact with Rae. "Well, it is good that I found the both of you. Seeing how Rae has improved in training, I think she is ready for a small mission. The both of you, and Jisung will be going. I except that it be smooth sailing. Jisung has been filled in, I had to talk to him first. But it is simple, there is a gang that has files on Jeongin, Felix, Hyunjin and Changbin. They are selling those files tonight. You three need to get them back and wipe out the leader. No traces left behind." Rae saw Chan look at Lee Know and give him some signal, that last sentence was directed at him. "The buyers of these files is not known, Jisung and Lee Know will take care of them standing guard. Rae is stealthy so she will go in as buyer and get the files. once she has them Lee Know will finish. Be ready, Rae you will have to go buy a dress, you leave tonight at 8." they both nodded. "Uh one thing, how will I get a dress...I don't really have money." Rae didn't want to sound like a beg or even say this but she couldn't turn up ready for her first mission. "Felix and Hyunjin will be taking you, and there is a card in your room. it is yours, so don't worry." Chan gave Rae a warm smile. He really was like the father figure she never had.
Felix and Hyunjin were walking around dragging Rae into ever shop to try a dress on. "Listen Rae, you got to look amazing. It is your first mission...with Minho." Felix winked at Rae who could only fake gag. "Im just happy Jisung is there, I could not have done this mission with Lee Know alone. He literally called me a distraction for hugging Jisung. the stupid prick." Hyunjin and Felix shared a look that left Rae a little confused. "What?!" they both laughed "He definitely got jealous." Rae nearly tripped hearing that. "Over what?" "YOU!" They both yelled in unison catching the attention of other shoppers. "Hell no." "Sweetie, he likes you. But that we shall discuss later. For now go try this on." Hyunjin handed Rae and dark red dress, she looked at him hesitantly but he pushed her into the dressing room. "Guys..idk it's a little." Rae walked out and both boys were smiling. "Rae! That is perfect, and for sure someone else will definitely have eyes only for you." Rae was blushing. Ew no, he won't care. and I don't care. The three of them bought a few more things Rae might need, all Rae could think about was what Hyunjin said about Lee Know getting jealous. It couldn't be true? Right?
Rae got home and saw Jisung getting ready, she quickly stopped to show him some stuff before leaving and heading to her own room to get ready. Rae applied her make up that she got and popped the dress on. She took a few minutes to look at herself, the dress fit her perfectly. Rae only ever dressed up like this once before and she never went back to that lifestyle but tonight she would do her best, she had to. "Ready?" Jisung called for her. "Yep, coming!" Jisung was looking at Rae, she couldn't tell if he was shocked in a good or bad way. "Damn." That was all he said before Lee Know cleared his throat. Rae turned to see him wear a suit, her breath got caught and she didn't realise she was staring. "You both might as well take a picture of each other. Practically drooling." Jeongin walked between the two snickering while looking at Jisung. Rae quickly turned back to Jisung.
"In the car, now." Lee Know called for the two as he walked out the door. "He damn well was blushing." Jisung whispered in Raes era, which earned him a punch. "Shut it." The journey wasn't too long, Jisung gave Rae her ear piece and a debrief on what to do once inside. Lee Know was driving but he kept stealing glances, seeing Jisung and Rae so close was making his blood boil. I don't like her. Stop Minho. He glued his eyes back to the road ignoring this feeling, again.
Rae strapped her knife to her leg under her dress, it was well hidden. "Just for in case, take a pistol." Lee Know handed her a small pistol, Raes hand brushed his hand sending shivers down her spine. We are on a mission, focus. "once inside, we will communicate with you through the ear piece. The boss should be waiting for your arrival. Remember, act natural, stay calm. You got this." Lee Know, for the first time, smiled well kind of it lasted a millisecond. Rae took a deep breath, she knew they were outside and nothing would happen. She pushed the door open and was met by security.
"Miss, what are you here for?" The guard stood in front of Rae staring down at her. "Files. Mr Lim knows." Rae was good, she kept a charming persona. "Code." "Red Dragon." The guard scanned Rae, she moved her bag a little in a way that showed the large sum of cash. "The first door to your left. Mr Lim is waiting." Rae smiled before walking through, her heart was thumping. "How did you know the code?" Jisungs voice broke through the thumping sound. "Looking at the decorations, and the tattoo that most of the people had, I took a guess on a whim." Lee Know was amazed, most would have cracked and not even noticed those small details. "Im going in." Both of them were now on high alert. They had to make sure Rae was okay and that the mission got complete.
Rae knocked and then walked in. She saw a man sat in chair, he was holding some glass which was most likely alcohol. "Yeojin?" Rae smiled, she walked over and took a seat to which Mr Lim was gesturing to. "Im here for, the files." Rae watched him, she could see now he had deep wrinkles, a stern look was was plastered on his face, his right hand was slightly shaking holding the glass and his left hand was decorated with diamonds. "Now, now...there is no rush." He sat up looking at her, licking his lips as he scanned Rae up and down. "Of course, but i want those bastards dead." This made the man chuckle. "Well, I have them files but not for free." Rae grabbed her bag and put the cash on the table. "Will that be enough?" She was very good, she had the hint of seductivness in her voice that made her even more convincing. "Here you go." He passed the files but then caught Raes arm. "But, I think me and you can have some fun." Her panic set in, she didn't want to use her knife or gun just yet. Jisung and Lee Know shared a look. "Kill the buyer. Im going in." Lee Know was not about to let Rae suffer with that man.
The man was pushing Rae down, she knew. She grabbed her knife and stabbed the mans leg and then his arm which made him fumble back. "You bitch!" Just as Rae went to run, the door flung open and Lee Know ran to her. He held up his gun before the man could lunge for Rae and shot him straight in the heart. Lee Know planted the gun he just had, and set the dead mans body in a way it made it look like he unalived himself.
"Let's go!" Lee Know grabbed her hand and they both slipped out the back door. Jisung was dragging the buyers body near the side, he did the same thing as Lee Know. Rae was still holding on to Lee Knows hand, in that moment she didn't care. They piled into the car, Rae was bubbling with adrenaline, minus the man touching her, the mission was a success. "YOU DID IT!!" Jisung hugged you. "We all did!" Rae made sure Lee Know saw her smile, he knew that was a smile to thank him for coming when he did.
They all arrived home, Lee Know went to fill Chan in while the others were excited for both Jisung and Rae. They were asking them a million questions, Jisung answered them with enthusiasm while Rae jumped in when Jisung was about to tell them all about her and Lee Know holding hands. "Right! I'm going to sleep. My adrenaline crashed and now i'm tired." Rae said her goodnights while Jisung was snickering knowing she left because of what he was going to say. Which he did, once Rae left.
She saw Lee Know, walking out the office. "Hey Lee Know?" He stopped and looked at her. "Thank you, you did great today." Something came over Rae and she went over to hug him. Lee Know was a little taken back but he patted her back, awkwardly. "Don't mention it. We are a team." Rae saw the blush on his face, she surpassed her smile. Her mind started wondering about what Hyunjin said earlier, am I falling for you? No, we are team. That's it.
"Get some rest." Lee Know nodded his head in goodbye before disappearing. Rae walked into her room, she caught a glimpse of her face and saw the very VERY visible blush. Am I falling for him? No?!
Lee Know walked into his room, he felt his hear racing. He could still smell Raes perfume on his clothes. she...she hugged me. Why was his heart beating so fast? Why was his face heating up thinking about it?
