Eventually, Harry and Neville had each bonded with a house elf. Harry had taken a liking to a younger male elf named Tawny, while Neville sat bonding with a middle-aged female named Robin. Severus had to remind them why they'd come in the first place and they quickly asked for eight mugs of hot chocolate and promptly left in a hurry after the elves had helped them load up the trays.
Harry led the way back to the tower with Castor's help, while Severus and Neville carried the trays. Harry was nervous that Neville would drop them but they made it back to the Common room without a single drop spilled. Harry was proud of Neville for keeping his anxiety at bay during the whole ordeal. Harry answered the knocker's riddle and reached for the handle.
Castor: Up a little bit.
Harry's hand moved up an inch or two until he could feel its cold metal beneath his fingertips. He pulled it open and let the other two in before he retook the lead. He noticed that no one was in the room so he assumed they had moved to the boys' dormitory so Anthony could be more comfortable in his bed. Harry changed his course in that direction.
Sure enough, when Harry opened the door to his, Sebastian, Terry, and Anthony's shared room, everyone looked up or over to the three newcomers.
Harry's eyes immediately locked onto the two figures in one of the beds. It was Anthony and Blaise; Harry could tell by the colors of their auras. From what Harry could tell, Anthony was curled up into Blaise's side and was asleep. Anthony was curled up into Blaise's side with both of his arms wrapped around Blaise's middle and his head resting on Blaise's chest. Blaise had one arm resting on one of Anthony's arms and around his shoulders, with the other hand resting on Anthony's head, fingers threaded through his wavy hair. Blaise was watching his friend sleep with a worried expression.
(A/N: I don't know if I mentioned this before this chapter, but, when I put (w) after a character's name, it means that they're whispering. Oh, and in a little bit, there will be a (s) which will mean softly.)
Harry (w): How long ago did he fall asleep?
Hermione (w): About ten minutes ago. We weren't sure how long you were going to be so we came down here. He'd been afraid to sleep without someone holding him, so Blaise offered to lay with him.
Harry (w): Poor baby. We've brought hot chocolate like we promised. And, as a bonus, we know how to get into the kitchens if we need to again, thanks to Professor Snape.
Neville (w): Or we can just call Tawny or Robin.
Terry (w): Who are Tawny and Robin?
Neville (w): They're house elves that work in the kitchens. We befriended them and they offered to help us whenever Harry or I needed it.
Neville passed out mugs of hot chocolate while he explained what Severus told them. The man in question had been silent the whole time and now he conjured up a chair and sat down quietly to watch the friends settle in again.
Harry took a closer look around the room.
Sebastian had made himself comfortable on his bed and was reading a book. Terry was sitting cross-legged on the floor next to Hermione, who was doodling on a piece of parchment while she and Sebastian randomly spit facts at each other. Blaise hadn't looked up from staring at Anthony's sleeping face to even notice his other two friends and a professor enter the room.
Harry took one of the mugs from Neville's tray and walked over to Anthony's bed, setting the mug down on the nightstand and sitting on the edge of the bed. He brushed Blaise's shoulder lightly and the Slytherin tensed, his head snapped up. He finally noticed Harry and let out a barely noticeable sigh.
