I awake sore beyond belief, I roll over onto my stomach and stretch just a bit. I'm tender everywhere.. Damon isn't in bed so I sit up, grabbing my cell to check the time.. 9:07.. Ugh. I get up and and get dressed, hip hugging jeans and a cami.

I walk downstairs to make some coffee I definitely need some this morning. I go pee while I wait, I grab a mug and pour the coffee.. Taking it out to the back patio ready for it to warm my body and soul. Flashbacks from last night flood my mind, Tia, the bimbo, the crowd.

A smile pressed around the brim of the mug as I feel the hot liquid go down. I send Cara a good morning text.. I need to see her.. So I ask her to meet me at Jaco's tonight for drinks if she's not working.. About an hour later I get a response saying she'll see me there with a few kissy emojis..

I spend the next hour on my phone and getting ready.. I need to go do something.. So I order an uber and go grab my clutch. I shoot Damon a text saying I'll be meeting Cara and I'll be back later tonight and I get no immediate response.. He didn't leave a note like last time either, so my mind has definitely been pondering on what's going on with him.

I'm not sure why he's not responding but who cares.. My uber is here and I head to the city. I spend hours just walking, window shopping, stopping for lunch at a food truck, a gyro was calling my name. I finish my food when I'm approached by a strange man, he looks familiar but I don't know from where ..

' Good afternoon beautiful girl ... You were absolutely tempting last night .. Are you open to new players because I'd love to try you on '

The man recognized me from last night.  I hold down the food that's trying to come back up. I'm repulsed and I can't tell if he can see it or not.. I toss my trash into the can before answering..

' I'm not interested ' I say as dryly as I possibly could have. I go to turn and walk away but he grips my arm.. HARD. Like it hurts and he's not letting me go.

' Don't act like you're too good for me pretty girl .. You can't tease me and expect me not to chase you darlin '

The gross man's grip is starting to burn as I'm trying to pull away and failing.

' Let me go you fucking creep '

I say and out of nowhere I see a tattooed fist crashing into the man's jaw before he instantly let my wrist go and falls to the ground before scrambling to his feet and taking off..

' Ariel .. Are you okay? '

The smooth, deep velvety voice asks me... It's Lorenzo. I gulp as I subconsciously rub my wrist..

' Oh. I'm fine.. Thank you for that, Dude is a creep '

' I seen .. What are you doing out here alone mami you're way too gorgeous, it's not safe '

I bite my lip before I answer, God this man is hot, and he's a safe space.

' Thank you Lorenzo.. I really appreciate it but I should get going .. '

His side smile and brown eyes lock with mine before answering back...

' Can I give you my number mami .. Just in case you ever need it.. '

I smile as I hand him my cell to put it in..

He kisses my hand as he smiles at me before turning around and is on his way.. My stomach is full of flutters as I look down " Papi " is what he entered..
The fuck, I giggle softly. I'm so thankful he was there though, who knows what that creep would've done.. It's going on 6 by the time I finally tell Cara I'm on my way. And STILL no word from Damon..

Now I'm annoyed, and a bit pissed to be quite honest.. I send him one more text

' Really Damon .. Nothing? '
