The Girl

A girl?

The gladers were woken one morning by the loud noise of the box. Gally was the first one there obviously. All the gladers gathered around not long after some time. Thomas and Chuck came a few minutes later and pushed past the crowd to find Minho and Newt who were wondering who it was. They wasn't expecting a new glader yet, 

''Hey Ne4wt, hey Minho.'' Chuck finally found them and waved to them. The box finally came up and Gally called some of the boys to help him open it. When they finally did a figure was sat in the corner scared. Gally jumped in the box.

''Rise and Shine-'' he stopped talking when he realised the figure was a girl. He looked up at the boys who were all confused.

''Whats wrong Gally?'' one of them knelt down at the edge of the box.

''It's a girll...'' he replied in a softer tone, confused he looked back over to the girl. ''Are you okay?'' he moved a box so he could see her properly, she had long brunette hair and green eyes. She looked up at him and shook her head. 

''Where am I?'' she said very quietly. She looked exhausted, her clothes were dirty, she had baggy jacket on which was covered in dirt and sweat, brown cargos and dirty white trainers. Gally held out his hand, ''If you come out of the box I'll explain everything to you.'' she looked at his hand then at him, she took his hand and he helped her out the box, the gladers were whispering to eachover they didn't like the idea of having a girl in the glade. She stood there playing with the hem of her jacket scared. Thomas and Newt looked her up and down, ''Look like shes been through hell and back'' Thomas said quietly, Newt nodded in agreement. 

''Stop staring it's rude'' Chuck yelled, all the gladers went back to working and chatting, there was only some who stayed, Thomas, Minho, Newt, Chuck and Gally. ''Right Greenie, welcome to the Glade.'' Newt spoke soon after the gladers left, she looked around confused. Gally finally got out the box and stood next to Minho who was shocked that there was a girl in the glade. 

''Do you remember your name?'' Gally asked her, she shook her head as she was trying to remember. ''Thats all right, it'll come to you at some point.'' he patted her on the back. 

''Does she speak?'' Minho looked her up and down in a disgusted way, ''What happened to you?'' he fixed his hair as if he was the one covered in dirt. she looked at him and spoke, ''I do speak'' she was still playing with her jacket. The boys nodded and Chuck just smiled at her. 

''Do I get to show her around?'' he smiled looking up at Gally hoping he will say yes. Gally rolled his eyes and nodded, ''Yes you get to be the little tour guide again.'' he then walked away leaving the girl, Thomas, Minho, Newt and Chuck. They all stayed in silent for a while, the sounds of boys chatting and laughter can be heard. The three older boys were whispering to each over whilst Chuck stood there trying to make out what there saying. Then the boys nodded and turned back to the girl and Chuck. 

''So Chuck you give the greenie the tour around. I'm going to head off into the maze with Thomas find Newt after the tour he'll take you to Alby.'' Minho spoke up before him and Thomas walked off. Newt soon after walked off leaving Chuck and the girl there. 

''Follow me!'' chuck smiled at her before leading her to give the tour.

After the tour Chuck took her to find Newt. ''Done the tour all ready?'' he was sat at the kitchen with another boy. ''Alby should be here very soon. Sit down I'll get Fry to make you some food.'' he motioned the girl and Chuck to sit with him and then Fry went off to make the girl some food and to get her some water. Frypan came back with some food for the girl. ''Thank you'' she smiled eating straight away. Frypan nodded.
