Jungkook watched as Y/N walked quickly ahead of him, ignoring his calls. They finally arrived in front of the goddess's statue under the large tree. The bells hanging there were gently swinging in the air, creating a peaceful, rhythmic sound. Y/N handed her offerings to the priest as a gesture of gratitude to the goddess. Meanwhile, Jungkook caught up to her, out of breath and still loudly calling her name.
Jungkook: Y/N, wait! I’m sorry, I misunderstood you... just listen to me—
Y/N gently placed her finger on his lips to hush him, signalling for silence. At that moment, all the bells started ringing at once, swaying with the breeze. Jungkook suddenly recalled a conversation from the past.
Flashback to Jungkook's Office:
*Mingyu and Jungkook were talking in Jungkook's office at JJK Entertainment.*
Mingyu: Jungkook, don’t you ever think about getting married?
Jungkook: *Raising an eyebrow* Why are you asking that all of a sudden?
Jungkook: *Rolling his eyes* Haha, very funny. Well, I do need a girl for that... who told you to say this?
*Mingyu looked nervous as he shifted in his chair.*
Mingyu: Umm... actually—
*Just then, Jungkook’s mother entered the room. Both men stood up in surprise.*
Jungkook: Mom... you’re here? *He hugged her before gesturing her to sit.* Please, have a seat.
Jungkook: *Looking at the staff* Leave us alone for a while.
Mingyu: *Smiling awkwardly* Okay, aunty, I’ll leave you two to talk. I have a shoot to catch anyway. Bye!
Jungkook’s Mom: *Smiling kindly* Bye, Mingyu.
*Once the room was empty, a heavy silence lingered between Jungkook and his mother.*
Jungkook’s Mom: *Breaking the silence softly* We’re not going to live forever, Guk... you have to understand this. Please, get married.
Jungkook: *Sighing* Mom, you know I have to focus on saving this company first... it’s slipping through my fingers. How could I even think about marriage right now?

Jungkook, still lost in thought, watched her close her eyes and pray. As he stood beside her, the bells' aggressive swinging made him look up at the goddess’s idol. A feeling of awe and fear gripped him, but he closed his eyes, slipping into memories of his past.
