It was finally the Euros final. Everyones nerves were running high. We all stepped on the pitch and seeing all those supporters just makes you more nervous but it also gives the drive you need in order to play to the best of your ability.

The first half ended and Spain were up 1-0.

The second half started and we were trailing behind till the 73rd minute, when Cole Palmer puts the ball into the left corner. The English fans irrupt into cheers. The moment gives English team and fans some sort of hope.

But there dreams are cut short when the Spanish team gets their second goal with minutes to spare. Even with those few minutes of extra time, England couldn't get another goal.

The final whistle blew, the Spanish team all ran onto the pitch celebrating. On the other hand, the England team was just devastated. They somewhat broke down.

Once everything had calmed down, the presentation ceremony happened. The look on the English players faces were just looks of pure heartbreak.

The players went up to their families in the stands while the Spanish families went down onto the pitch.

Jude was clearly heartbroken as he approached his family.

His mother and father both hugged and consoled him.

"You played so well, not everything goes our way but it's ok" his mother reassured him
"I can't help but feel we let everybody down, we could of played so much better but we didn't and now we let our whole nation down"
"Something's are just not meant to be but you'll have so many more chances in the future" he's father told him

After he spoke to his parents, he looked for Armani. She was the only one that could calm him down.
He finally saw her and went over to her. She immediately saw the look in his face and she hugged him

"I'm so sorry love, you played so well, all of you did"
"But we let everyone down, I let everyone down "
"You can't blame yourself for something that no one can control"
"I know but I can't help but feel like it's all my fault"
"It's not your fault, it's no one's fault. It just wasn't what was destined for the team. There'll be plenty more chances for you all."
"I really hope so"
"Now enough of putting yourself down, go get changed and ready, everyones gonna leave soon and you have an early flight so you have to rest"
"Ok. Thank you for dealing with all my little breakdowns"
"That's what I'm here for, now go before everyone leaves"

He says his goodbyes and then walks back to the dressing room.

The boys were up early and in their flight back to England.

Once they arrived, they weren't greeted by fans since they used a private terminal. But the love and support of the fans were definitely present no matter where they went.
