—Peaceful.
That is the word I would use to describe this moment.
My back is pressed up against Dani's headboard while her head is resting on my bare thighs.
The two of us are currently in her bedroom watching a comedy on her computer.
She is completely engrossed in the movie while my fingertips gently comb through her soft, blonde hair.
We have been in her bedroom practically all day because we just wanted to spend time with each other.
I feel my stomach clench painfully, causing me to groan.
I would love to just lie here forever, but I need food.
"Are you hungry?" I ask her.
My breath hitches the slightest bit when she digs her nails into my inner thigh.
Oh.
I forgot her hand was right there.
"Yeah, for you," she admits.
What?
This catches me so off guard that I have no clue if she is joking or not.
She turns over so that she is lying on her back, her playful brown eyes staring up into my confused brown-green eyes.
I notice the small smirk on her lips, which instantly causes me to roll my eyes at her, a smile breaking out on my face.
"As am I for you, but I'm being serious," I respond.
Her playful smirk doesn't leave her face as she continues to joke with me.
"So am I," she says.
I glare at her and wait for her to actually answer my question.
"Yes, I'm hungry," she deadpans after a few moments of silence.
I try not to laugh at this.
"See, was that so hard to say?" I tease her.
She playfully glares at me.
"You're no fun," she states.
I smirk and bend down so that our faces are inches away from each other.
"I highly suggest we test that theory when my head is between your thighs," I whisper lowly.
Her eyes gaze into mine with curiosity, her pupils dilating under the golden rays of the afternoon sun.
I try not to laugh as she places one of her hands on my cheek and pulls me down so that our lips connect in a slow, sensual kiss.
I unconsciously moan into the kiss with surprise but make no move to break it.
Hmm.
She tastes like cake batter.
Before I get the chance to deepen it, she reluctantly pushes me away.
"We probably shouldn't," she hesitantly tells me with a breathless tone.
"In case my parents walk in on us," she adds, her eyes still closed as if she's mentally savoring this moment.
I nod in agreement since her soft hand is still on my cheek.
I cannot help but internally furrow my brow at her statement.
Her parents aren't the type to usually walk in on us, but if that is something she's worried about, then I will follow her wishes.
I reluctantly pull away from her addictive touch and sit up.
