8:30pm, The game has started, all the teams warmed up, they were all ready. It was a game between UCONN and USC. Charlotte got everything ready and also contributed to help the players with injuries since the team doctor was absent due to personal problems.
"Good evening fellow Trojans fans and Huskies fans! Welcome to tonight's game. We got University Of South Carolina (USC) Versus University Of Connecticut (UCONN), Tonight's players on the USC we got, Juju Watkins, Kayla Williams, Malia Samuels, Kayla Padilla and Mckenzie Forbes. Let's hear some noise for the Trojans!." The sounds of cheers and claps from the bleachers became louder when every player came out. "And for the players of UCONN we got, Paige Bueckers, Nika Muhl, Azzi Fudd, KK Arnold and Aaliyah Edwards. Lets here some noise from the fellow Huskies!." The bleachers on the UCONN side grew louder and louder, echoing across the stadium for the girls.
FIRST QUARTER USC LEADING HALF TIME USC 8 - 5 UCONN
"It's a bad start for UCONN but a good start for USC. Maybe USC might take home the trophy this time" Charlotte took the commentators sentence seriously and went to Coach Geno, "Coach, maybe you should call a time out for a while. You know, to get the girls more locked in , they don't seem to be locked in right now." Charlotte suggested, "You're right" Geno called for a time out, as the ref blew the whistle, the girls jogged back to the bench, Charlotte gave everyone a small rag to dry off their sweat, "Guys, You need to win this. You heard what the commentator said, USC might take the trophy home. and UCONN ain't no loser, am I right or wrong?" Charlotte tried giving them some motivation, The girls agreed and started hyping each other up. The whistle got blown again, "Alright girls, you got this, bring home the trophy!" Charlotte hyped them up, they all jogged happily back on court.
"Alright folks, we got both teams back on court. Let's see with Women's Basketball team will win tonight's first quarter, Will it be University of South Carolina (USC) or University of Connecticut (UCONN), 6 minutes left on the clock folks!" The nerves of Charlotte risen while watching the clock tick each second. She was sitting on the bench, taking a break from recording. Then, there was only a minute until the first quarter finished.
FIRST QUARTER UCONN TAKES THE WIN USC 16 - 20 UCONN
The bleachers for UCONN got loud, everyone giving them a standing ovation. The UCONN girls screamed in joy for winning the first quarter of the game. However, USC was devastated, they were only 4 points away from getting a tie. But that never happened.
"AND THE FIRST QUARTER WIN GOES TO UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT. Will The University of South Carolina get revenge in the second quarter? We shall wait and see! For the folks watching at home, we will give you a short 30 second commercial break before the next quarter, see you then." The girls wiped off their sweat off their forehead and arms, they each received a Gatorade bottle and drank some water. "Nice work girls. Now remember, we can't let USC win against us. We always defeated them, Understood?" Geno announced in a serious tone. The girls nodded, jogging back on court after hearing the whistle. "Good Luck girls!" Charlotte shouted. Nika winked at Charlotte before jogging with the girl, "Why did she-" "Charlotte, get the camera ready." Geno said, interrupting Charlottes thought in mind. "Oh yeah, Sorry Coach" Charlotte quickly jogged to the camera, Geno nodded as a sign of forgiveness.
"And we're back folks. The second quarter starts. Do you think USC will get their revenge from losing the first quarter? Or will UCONN get their 2nd win for this game? Let's find out. 12 minutes on the clock, Paige and Juju facing each other, getting ready to reach for the ball. And they start! Watkins quickly reaches for the ball and dribbles it smoothly, as she passes it to Forbes." Charlotte watches from the benches, watching as USC getting their first points. She stands from the bench, watching all the players on UCONN play weakly again. "What? Why are they playing weak?" Charlotte was confused, curious, yet she has hope that they will win this quarter
SECOND QUARTER USC LEADING HALF TIME USC 26 - 22 UCONN
"What a big comeback for USC, leading the second quarter half time. But for UCONN, only 2 points in the last 6 minutes, what a down fall. Will USC take the win for this quarter? We shall wait and see!" Charlotte was nervous, moving her leg up and down, hands shaking. She wanted UCONN to win this quarter. "There's no way they'll win if they only got 2 points in the last 6 minutes.." The whistle blows, USC's coach called a time out. The girls jogged back to the benches. "Girls what is happening! 2 points in 6 minutes? We've been preparing for this game the entire week. If you don't bring home the win, you all will disappoint me" Geno scolded. The girls seem to be scared, nervous that they might not win. Charlotte walks up to the girls. "Girls, This is the only second quarter. It doesn't matter if you win or lose this quarter. The only thing that matters is if you win the last 2 quarters. Alright?" Charlotte helped the girls to get their motive up. The whistle blows again, signaling the girls to get back on court. "Nika, you won't be playing this half, Aubrey Griffin you can go" As Aubrey left, Nika sat beside Charlotte. "Hey hey, why are you so stressed?" Nika asked as she held Charlottes hand, "Not right now, Nika." Charlotte quickly pulled away her hand from Nika's, "What the fuck? What is up with Charlotte. It's not like she's playing" Nika thought in her head. "Come on, talk to me, Char" "Nika. Why did you play like that. You looked so weak, You were never like that in the 5v5 practice. What happened." Charlotte asked in a mad, serious tone while making eye contact with Nika. Nika was stunned, she didn't know what to say. "Speechless? You should be, you never played like this, Nika." "I just have alot on my mind, you don't understand Charlotte." "What? What's on your mind?" As Nika was about to speak, she stopped. "I'll tell you after the game."
SECOND QUARTER USC TAKES THE WIN USC 34 - 28 UCONN
"AND USC TAKES THE WIN FOR THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE GAME. They really took revenge on The University Of Connecticut. Well, we're currently at a 1-1, Will UCONN win the 3rd quarter? Or will the USC take the win again? I bet everyone at home and on the bleachers are excited to know who the winners will be! We'll be back in a minute. For the viewers at home, we will be playing a small commercial interview for you. See ya later, Trojans and Huskies!"
