A D R I K A

"Come". I looked at my husband who was standing outside of the car opening the door for me.

I slipped my hand into his and he held it and helped me in getting down of the car. It was around 3am now , we reached home.

At the entrance everyone were standing with maa in centre , who had aarti ki thal in her hands. She gave me a wide smile. She put kumkum teeka on both of our forehead before rotating the plate around us.

After which Papa took out a bundle of five hundred rupee and rotated around our head, before passing it to the servants.

"Adrika beta , now push this kalash with your right foot and enter". Choti maa said. Then I entered , inside the house and we directly went to the puja room to seek the blessings.

After which, we took the blessings of all the elders.

We both were made to sit in the living room in front of each other. I noticed him looking at me.

Before I could get lost in my thoughts, Maa came followed by a servant holding a big open utensil which had milk in it with rose petals.

"I'm so excited for it" Arushi said while rubbing her palms with excitement.

"I'm on my daughter's side", papa said.

"I'm on my son's side", Maa said.

"Same goes with me", Chote papa said.

"I'm on bhabhi's side", Abhisek said.

"Same goes with me cause I know she will win it".

"Aaru? Traitor". Rudraksh spoke and Arushi gave him sheepish smile.

In this game, we had to find the ring which maa had put in the utensil. This happens for three time and the one who get the ring two times , wins it and they say the winner rules the relationship.

We started the game and put our hands in the bowl. My fingers flinched when it brushes with his and we both looked at each other. Shying away, I looked down and continued finding the ring. I had just touched the surface when he pulled out the ring. I looked at him and he gave me a smirk and I huffed. He chuckled seeing my experience and I felt embarassed.

Arushi put the ring and this time I noticed her hand movements so as soon as she fishes out her hand. We both put our hand and instantly took out the ring and everyone clapped.
