Klaus Mikaelson

Klaus Mikaelson often feels very lonely. His eternal life and turbulent past have left him with a deep-rooted insecurity. Even surrounded by family, he struggles to trust and connect, haunted by past betrayals and his fear of abandonment. His loneliness is exacerbated by the realization that his unique nature keeps him apart from those he loves, making every interaction feel tinged with utter isolation.

Yet Klaus loves his brothers, most notably Elijah, the noble brother who wears his honor like a second skin. Klaus has always admired his steadfastness, even though it's a trait that has often led to conflict between them. Elijah has a way of seeing the world in black and white, good and evil, right and wrong. He believes in the sanctity of family, yet he's quick to judge, pointing out Klaus' flaws as if he were above them. But beneath this veneer of nobility, there's a darkness he refuses to acknowledge. Perhaps this is what bothers Klaus the most: the hypocrisy of all. Yet he was the one who was always there, even when Klaus didn't deserve it. And for that, Klaus is grateful, though he would never say it out loud.

Rebekah is his little sister. She has always longed for love, for a life beyond endless wars and bloodshed. Her desire for normalcy is both her greatest strength and her greatest weakness. Klaus has always envied her for that—the way she can hope for a future, even when the odds are against her. But that hope made her vulnerable, easy to manipulate, and Klaus took full advantage of that. Despite their troubled history, Klaus cared deeply for her. He wanted her to find happiness, but he feared that the very thing she wanted would cost her him. She dreams of a life he can't give her, and he hates himself for the pain he's caused her, even as I continue to justify it.

Kol, that monster. He's always had a penchant for chaos, a thirst for power that rivals even Klaus's. But unlike Klaus, Kol lacks control. He's reckless, impulsive, and often a burden. And yet there's a brilliance to his madness that I can't help but admire. Kol has always felt like an outsider, a fact that Klaus understood all too well. Maybe that's why Klaus was always tougher on Kol, trying to mold him into something he wasn't. Deep down, Klaus regretted the rift. Kol could have been a powerful ally, but Klaus's insecurities and need for control drove a wedge between them. Kol may never forgive him, and maybe he shouldn't.

Finn, the most tragic of them all. He never wanted this life, this curse that had befallen their family. While Klaus and the rest found ways to adapt, to revel in their strength, Finn saw only the curse. He had always resented his brothers and especially Klaus for embracing what he despised. Klaus had always seen him as weak, too consumed by his own self-loathing to be of any real use. But in Klaus's quieter moments, he pitied his brother. He never had the chance to live, to truly understand the power he held. Klaus always wondered if things could be different for Finn, if he could find a purpose beyond his hatred.

Klaus loved his siblings even if they didn't believe him, but he hated his parents, a father who broke him since childhood and a mother who hid the truth from him.

Esther, the mother. The one who gave Klaus and his siblings life only to curse them forever. Her children called her the Original Witch, but to Klaus, she was the Original Traitor. Klaus had once loved her, trusted her, believed she would protect this family. But what had she done? She turned them into monsters, and when she couldn't control the monster she had created in Klaus, she tried to end his existence. How could a mother despise her child so much that she sought to destroy him? It was something Klaus would never understand. She saw Klaus as an abomination, but it was her hand that made him who he was. All the pain, the loneliness, the anger all stemmed from her betrayal. Klaus is a hybrid, a creature of vampire and wolf blood, and because of her he will never know peace. But he has power now, a power she once feared, and in that, he finds some solace. Yet even with all the power in the world, he could never get the one thing he secretly wanted from her acceptance.
