Charlie POV:

It had been ten years since the battle with my dad, and from that day I started rebuilding what was left, the help of my friends has made it easier to deal with the loss of (Y/n), but I always reminded myself of what god said that he would rebuild him and when he's ready I'll be the first person he sees. The hotel has been doing great as well, they all learned about (Y/n) and what he was willing to do to save us... to save me... and I guess it kinda inspired some of them, maybe not all of them, but some, and in turn they started inspiring others that redemption was really possible.

Most people doubted a first, but once we all saw the first soul ascend to heaven and the exterminations were permanently canceled, more and more people believed and started signing up until the hotel was being filled everyday and people were being redeemed everyday, and eventually, Alastor, Niffty, Husk, Angel, they all managed to redeem themselves and enter heaven. They even sent letters from heaven, all saying thank you for the help and saying how they doubted me but were grateful that I proved them wrong, however, strangely, throughout the years in helping people, Vaggie hasn't shown any signs of redemption which I decided to confront her about.

"Hey Vaggie, you got a second?" I asked while approaching her, holding her shoulder to catch her attention "Sure, what do you need?" she asked in return, turning to face me "Well... it's about your redemption process, despite you being here the longest amount of time, you haven't really showed any signs of... ascension... why?" I titled my head a bit.  She seemed to flinch a bit at my question, looking around a bit before sighing and looking down "Well... I should've known I couldn't hide forever," she softly chuckled, looking me in the eyes again with a small smile "Well... when I tell you, can you at least promise me one thing?" she asked and I nodded.

She looked down a bit again, holding her arm and rubbing it as if trying to gather courage to speak "You see... I was an exterminator... and I fell from heaven because I refused to do my job... but that doesn't excuse that I still did kill multiple sinners," she explained, making my eyes widen a bit "I didn't wanna tell you because... I was scared of what you'd think of me... especially after all the kindness you've shown, you cared for me when nobody else did... you were my friend and... I didn't wanna ruin that," she continued. She then finally looked up again to face me, worry clear in her eyes "...I'm sorry... I should've told you earlier but... I was just scared... ironic isn't it? The toughest person in this hotel was too scared to say the truth..." I was a bit surprised at the reveal, and it wasn't till she explained did I finally connected the dots, the big X over her eye, the spear she always wielded, all of it in plain sight.

Seeing her worry, I gave her a soft smile and hugged her gently "It's fine Vaggie... I'll admit I'm a bit hurt you didn't tell me sooner but, you've still been by my side and not once had bad intentions," I assured and broke the hug, holding her shoulders while I kept smiling at her "And I think that's enough to prove that you're already redeemed in my eyes..." I laughed a bit. I then saw Vaggie's widen and glow a bit, clearly happy and making her immediately hug me again "Thank you! I swear no more secrets from now on!" she said which made me laugh a bit as I hugged back.

We stayed hugging for a while before a sudden scream came from the main lobby, and wasting no time me and Vaggie rushed towards the entrance, my eyes widening upon seeing who it was "Please wait! I come in peace I swear!" the voice of my father called out, hands up as if trying to seem less threatening. I was about to get my trident out to help Vaggie who already had her spear wielded, some of the guests even standing to get ready to fight till suddenly my dad showed a small rubber duck holding a white flag "PLEASE! I SWEAR TO MY FATHER I'M NOT HERE TO FIGHT!" he yelled, his tone genuine in his declaration.
