Evan's POV
Tuesday
5:00PMI felt drained as I parked my car in front of the shop we'd planned to meet. I had just ran around the park after my sisters for the past hour. I couldn't miss this though. My fiends had been asking about this for months. It had been 3 years, almost 4, since I've seen them.
I walked into the shop and saw them at a table. "Did you guys carpool?" I asked sitting beside them.
"Yeah," Maverick answered. He was the most outgoing of all of us. Always going risky things and stupid dares. He was also a really nice guy.
"You know if we rode separate, Jessie wouldn't have made it," Jami joked and elbowed the boy beside him. Jami, or Jamison, was twins with Jessie but they were pretty different. Jamison has straight A's, perfect attendance, and tries hard to please his parents. Jessie is always late, sneaks out to parties, and smokes just to tick off his parents. The only reason I knew all this was because Jami still called me to complain about it.
"Evan, how are your sisters?" Jessie asked after we'd finished laughing.
"Lily is still pretty clingy. She's 4 now, Evette is 7." I answered and they all nodded.
"Lily's 4? Has it really been that long?" Maverick asked and I nodded, laughing a bit.
We talked for a little while longer before everyone decided we should walk around.
I stood up slowly and pushed off the slight dizziness. Jami must've noticed, giving me a weird look.
"Where too?" I asked as we stepped outside. The breeze blew over my face, sending a chill down my spine. I shivered slightly then smiled at my friends.
"We were planning on just going to walk around, look at a few stores for an hour or so." Jessie said and I nodded. They didn't know about my condition. I figured it didn't matter because I was leaving. All they knew is my dad left and a few months later sent my mom divorce papers. We couldn't afford to stay there so we moved somewhere cheaper down in a different part of Texas.
"Got a girl yet Hawthorn?" Maverick joked and nudged my arm.
"Yeah." I said and he acted shocked. "Her names Cora, we met at school." I would tell them what happened but I can't.
"Serious?" Maverick asked jokingly and I nodded, rolling my eyes. Jami laughed and Jessie smiled.
We walked around for a while and talked. I began to feel dizzy pretty quickly. When we entered the next store I excused myself to the bathroom. I walked in and viewed my appearance in the mirror. My skin was a light pale color, there were small bags under my eyes, I felt horribly tired and dizzy. I stood there for a moment and waited for the spell to pass. It refused.
When I left the bathroom, the guys had finished looking around and were waiting by the door.
"Ready?" Jessie asked and I nodded slowly. We continued to walk and my legs grew heavier. My head hurt and I wanted nothing more then to sit down.
"Guys..." I started but began to loose focus. They all turned to look at me as everything went black.

Maverick's POV (just for a little bit)
Tuesday
6:00 PM"Guys..." Evan started but didn't say anything.
We all turned to face him, just as his knees buckled. I quickly reached over and grabbed him before he hit his head.
"What the?" Jamison looked at me with concern lacing his eyes.
"He'll be fine, we'll just have to wait until he wakes up." I said lowering Evan's limp body to the ground. Jami nodded and sat beside me, Jessie did the same. We got a few odd looks from passerby's and a few people asking to help.
