This story comes from a small town named Caffeinton, it was like all the others days for miss Faldra. An Aarakocra who had moved into this town a couple months ago with her family of 4.

Her last flat had a problem with bugs and always had noisy neighbors. Their dogs always harassed her cat, she'd always come home drenched in water as the dogs forced them into hiding until it'd rain.

So they left for the big city of eve. Caffeinton held many old fashioned parties. Unlike the rest of the city or even the world who wouldn't stop evolving.

The nights were always so quiet and her kids loved the school. They taught great life lessons on self sustainment. A great value for any child to learn.

Her husband got a great job in the city and wouldn't shut up about how many books and libraries there were.

She was happy, the peaceful nights were a blessing. And some people had even planned some events with scrabble and other board games. Every night she and the rest of the family would eat dinner and play games.

Or even some nights they would stay over at their friends house. It felt like weeks since she saw her cat, she'd explored almost every avenue and tunnel of the city. It was the time of their lives.

But on a rainy night. The mother sat in bed, she stepped up and started dinner. Her children and partner weren't home yet. So after she ate dinner and tried calling she decided to go after them.

The trackers on their phones said they were still at school. And the husband was with them. Maybe there was some sort of party there she hoped.

So she walked over in the dark and wet night. The air moist enough to block her vision.

She heard a growling come from a distant, the snarls spooked her. She started to sprint. But no matter how fast she ran it didn't go away. She ran to a friends house and slammed on the door.

"Open up please!" She screamed, her breathe in her lungs began to leave as she quickly tried to call her husband. She leapt from the stairs into the air, As her husbands phone rings in the distance she looked down, as something flew up and grabbed them. She should have stayed in at old town.

Her screams were for long. And the red stained stairs slowly washed away in the rain. The creature had left. And only thing that remained was a single smile as the earth shook in a quake.
