CHAPTER ONE - THE PROTOTYPE

Riley's POV

I woke up to the sound of my phone go off, I picked it up to see that it was my boss. "hello?" - "you need to get over here now, I've got a new job for you" - "I'll be right over" I hung up and rubbed my eyes, it wasn't easy working for Google, being the technician and all was quite tiring, I got up and took a quick shower, I then popped on some nice jeans, a black shirt that had a Cheshire Cat smile on it saying 'we're all mad here' and some sneakers, I grabbed my phone and walked to the door grabbing the car keys on the way.

-skip to Google headquarters-

I got to my work and parked my car, I walked to the front door and seeming it was a sensor door it automatically opened, I walked in and walked to the elevator, I pressed the button waiting for it to come down to my level, it finally got to ground level and I walked in, I normally get told what the job is but this time she didn't even give me a heads up of this, but that makes me really curious about she wants. It got to my boss's floor and I rushed out of it, I got to her office and opened the door.

"Ms Parker, I'm glad you're here" she walked to the window and looked out of it "so, what's this new job you got for me" she turned to me "I need you to work on our new project, project robot, you'll making sure everything works, you said it yourself you're the only one here who knows their way with machines" I looked at her in the eyes "this is great, but I just have one question" "and what would that be?" I looked at the ground then back at her "how much will I be paid for this exactly?" she smiled at me "we are willing to pay you twenty thousand dollars just for this one" I looked at her with my mouth wide open, twenty thousand dollars could pay for one year of rent, I need this job.

"I'm gonna do this job, I won't let you down" she smiled at me "Ms Parker, I know it's your time off work but would it be okay if you could come in after tomorrow" I looked at her as I begin to get very suspicious, thinking of a way for them to prove this isn't a prank or a way to sell my organs on the black market. "Could I maybe see what this robot thing looks like" she smirked slightly as she handed me a picture of the supposed being, I took it willingly as I began to look at the being. The being looked so life like, they truly have gone all terminator-like, I thought as I shoved the picture in my pocket as I walked off to get back into my vehicle.

-Skip to Riley's home-

By the time I got home it was dark and I hated it when it was dark because then things get real crazy at night, with all the partying around my area makes things hard for me to get some sleep, I parked my car and hopped out, to my amazement there was no music, no yelling, no screaming, no nothing, I walk up to the front door and unlocked it.

I walked inside my own home,  running over to the fridge for something good to eat. "Let's see here, there's bacon, there's cake, wait cake, yum yum cake" I pulled out the cake which was a whole thing of cake, I mean it was basically the size of a standard pool, that was in depth and length.

I planted my own face into the cake and began to eat away at the delicious, sugary deep dish sponge of death. I had finished half the cake in like two minutes flat, I put it back in the fridge and walked off to my bedroom, I plopped on my bed and took off my jeans throwing them in a random direction, not really worrying about them, brushing them off for the morning me.

I got under the covers and turned off the light, for some reason I couldn't stop thinking about that being Google created, I only saw a picture of the being that they supposedly created and now I'm acting weird about it, I should think about this in the morning, I think in my head as I reach over to turn off the lamp off on my bedside table before falling into a deep sleep.
