Astra
We ran for what felt like forever. Timothy went ahead to ensure we were met without danger. Two warriors stayed back with us because we had a hard time keeping up while the remaining three went to let the pack know our Alpha's final words on us. When we finally broke through the forest we were met with a few warriors, some pack members, and the Alpha and Beta.
Our Alpha spoke of the Super Alphas often but nothing could prepare me for what I saw in front of me. The men in front of me bled an aura of power and authority. They looked like Gods amongst men. I gulped and clenched Ezra's hand tighter.
I stayed in my male form as we were brought to the pack house. We were ushered into the Alpha's office for a test of my parents bond. The Amazon like woman that did the test was gushing about a new chapter in her book, whatever that was about.
The door opened and two teenage boys entered to announce that our family would be taken in by their parents for the time being. The younger looking one would not stop staring at me and it made me flush. He could not have been any older then Ezra but not being an Omega had him towering over my brother. I am slightly taller then your average Omega so he was only a bit taller then me. My brother caught him staring and gave him a death glare.
Isaac, as I learned his name was, ushered our family to his home where we would be staying until accommodations could be made for us. Micheal, his brother, stayed behind as he was to move in with the Beta I guess.
We immediately started training harder to be useful in the war. Since no one knew of my power's ability to transfer to others I was trained more in protecting myself while Ezra trained with Second Gamma Nathan to use their skills together. Ezra was shining and I was so proud of him.
Isaac and I talked a few times and I could tell he had a crush on me but I was not going to be someone's test ever again and I kept him at arms length.
During the war I did use my powers a few times to sneak places in my male form so I could try and get intel but only Alpha Jeremiah knew of my second power by the end of the war. I used it once on him, at his request, so he could 'seduce' a higher up without putting any of the warrior woman in harms way. He told me the look on the guys face when he turned back into a man made the whole things 10 times better! It took a while for me to be able to hold the transformation of another person for an extended period of time and without touching them directly but with Alpha's help I did it.
When the war ended we settled into a blissful routine as the former Gammas hosted our family. During the war I didn't get to interact with Gamma Taylor much but I came to idealize her. I asked Alpha if I could train with Gamma Taylor on battle plans and strategies. I have been training with her and Second Gamma Nathan for a few months now and I feel very useful for this pack.
Our new house should be ready soon, just in time for my 18th birthday. My brother and parents have been whispering a lot so I have a feeling they are planning me a big party. Ezra has asked me a few times if I'm excited to meet my mate but I have had to tell him a few times that my mate probably died with our pack. He doesn't know the particulars of what happened with Thomas but he does understand that he was never my mate.
Ezra
I am a lot more shy then my sister, Astra, but getting to battle along side the Super Alphas in the Great War was amazing. She didn't get to play such an active role in the battle, other then a few recon missions. I had no idea just how much my power could do and pairing up with Second Gamma Nathan was amazing. Alpha Jeremiah and Gamma Taylor were so amazing that I was in awe, just like Astra.
Beta Dominic pissed me off quite a bit. How he could throw his fated mate aside, especially someone as amazing as Michael, was beyond me. I think I developed a crush on Michael as soon as I saw him. Knowing he was the Beta's mate made me step back but after what happened in the months after the war I decided if he ever looked my way I would not turn him down. I agreed once Astra mentioned it that my mate was probably killed when our pack fell. I could wait for a second chance mate but what was the fun in that?!?
My parents and I, with the help of Gamma Taylor, have been planning Astra's 18th birthday party. She may think our mates have passed but I'm holding out that Isaac may be her mate. That guy has become my fast friend and the way he stares at her makes me uncomfortable. Astra doesn't realize I know what happened with Thomas but I do. I have probed Isaac a few times and he doesn't seem to have bad intentions towards her.
I miss my pack like crazy but having our parents and a few trusted friends by our sides has helped us transition well. I kind of love it here!
