" Thanks so much." Birch sighed, sitting on the ground, feeling a bit sleepy, needing to calm his aching chest. After walking, he felt dizzy and had to sit again. " What was that!?"

" Drowned are underwater zombies. Don't you know that?" Captain hauls Birch to his feet," You must have seen one of your travels? We need to get back to camp, get moving."

Birch grumbles to the sudden movement " I prefer to avoid the water.." He rubs the arm Captain haul on as the pair begin to make their way back to camp.

"Understandable.." Captain suddenly stops, causing Birch to bump into him. He quickly turns to face the Trader, eyeing him.

Birch felt nervous with all of the sudden gaze, "W-What-"

" Don't leave again." The pillager warns, pointing a finger at him." Next time I won't be wasting my arrows."

"Fine. Whatever. I don't intend to, just don't insult things you don't understand." Birch pushes past the pillager and begins to make the walk back.

===

The next few days neither of them spoke to each other. Birch stayed in his little corner, munching on some leftover stale bread he had in his bag and Captain just left everyday and went to the water pool to fish and collect resources.

So for the most part Birch was alone in his own world.

Birch didn't want to admit, but he wasn't exactly feeling the best again. Though, this time it was much worse. Birch's cheek throbbed and he felt a bit dizzy most of the time.

Probably got a nasty infection from the gross water he landed in. If Drowned found it nice, he guessed it was swimming with bacteria.

Birch would either dies by the pillager or dies slowly by the infection. He was sure what he wanted to die from.

Birch hung his head as Captain returned as he usually did and just spaced out, shivering. He only glanced up when he felt something touching his head.

It was Captain.

" Are you dying or something?"

Birch rolled his eyes and stayed silent until Captain glared at him.

" Why would you care? Pft.."

" I need something to go back on when that stupid hero returns! When did you become grumpy?"

Captain got down on one knee and lifted Birch's face with one of his hands, carefully to Birch's surprise. The trader felt awkward as the pillager examined his scratch on his face.

He never had someone so close to face before, he tried to stare at the wall, hoping to not look too awkward.

" Dumbass. You got an infection, clearly." Captain stood up, rubbing the back of his hair with his hand, " I got a half a bottle of instant healing and I know were some healing herbs are-

" I don't need your help. I can take care of myself!" Birch crossed his arm, angrily, turning his head away.

" I told you I'm not letting you die unless you leave! " Captain went over to his corner and grabbed his crossbow and a few arrows," Shut it and accept my help."

"Whatever..." Birch grumbled.

Birch laid down again and watched Captain stomped away angrily. If Birch was in his regular mood, maybe he would have laughed at Captain's comical stomp exit.
