"W-What time is it?" her hands curled into gentle fists as she rubbed her tired eyes. That was until she felt a warm embrace."Thank god you're alright!" The raven-haired man shouted happily. As he let go, he grabbed her shoulders looking into her beautiful brown orbs. Her eyes looked lost as she stared back at Obito's thoughtlessly. She looked tired, hurt, and sad. "Rin? Are you alright?" Obito reiterated.
"What?" Rin's voice cracked as the singular word came out of her mouth. Slowly, she turned her head scanning the room. She looked at a silent Kakashi standing in the corner with his hand on his chin. Then her sensei leaned against the hospital wall with a concerned look. Then she took one good look at the now, short-haired Obito. Her bottom lip started to tremble as the situation started to sink in. Her eyes started filling up with water, "How long... have I been asleep..?" As the dams of her eyes started to fail Obito took her in for another long hug. Making sure his hand supported the back of her head.
Obito started to massage her head then whispered, "A week.." After Rin heard her answer, she broke down into tears, and all Obito could do was shush her and calm her down to the best of his ability's.
Kakashi and Minato looked at them, then at each other for a good long while. Just before Minato was going to speak Rin cried, "I'm a monster, aren't I?"
"What?! No! You are not a monster!" Obito hugged her tighter.
"What's going to happen to me?" She held her eyes closed as her arms tightened around the man.
"Everything's going to be ok Rin, I promise you'll be safe." he started to scratch her back.
"He's right Rin, you will be safe, and since you have proven your ability to control Isobu. Don't worry, nothing will happen to you. But you do need more rest to regain your strength." Their sensai said with confidence.
"Ok..." her voice trembled as she let her body sink into Obito.

The second day
________________Rin woke up with a pounding headache and pain in her chest. While attempting to breath she could hear the electrocardiogram beeping at an unsteady tempo. "Damn it..." she wiggled herself in an upward position. She grabbed her chest and used her medical ninjutsu to steady her heart rate, at least for a little while.
She rested her head against the wall feeling all the stress pile on top of her. She started crying as she thought she would never be able to be a ninja again. "Why couldn't I have just stayed dead..." she mumbled.
"I really hope you don't mean that... do you?" Rin's eyes darted to the right side of her room as she saw Obito with a bundle of flowers.
"O-Obito..." she said shocked, staring at him while he replaced her old flowers with new ones he brought in.
"Sorry, these ones were getting old." He pulled up a chair and looked up at her, "what's going on?" His eyes soft and voice crisp while asking the question.
"Nothing... I'm.. just in a lot of pain." She said quickly, as her eyes fell to the floor.
"Rin..." he slowly maneuvered his hands under hers. "I'd like the truth." Obito said sternly but not harshly.
Quiet tears started streaming down her face, "I'm a monster..." her angelic voice trembled in fear, while Obito's longing eyes stared wanting to know more. She looked up at the man who made no comments, just awaiting answers. "Am I even going to be able to be dispatched on missions anymore?" She looked at Obito's scars as she noticed him move slightly closer. "What will the village think? Two jinjuriki's? And the newest one is a kid? They'll never be able to believe I can control it..." she started whispering as she looked at Obito's face coming closer, "Obi-" he pushed his forehead against hers with a slight blush on his cheeks.
