since the start of joão felix career, his sister catalina sequeira has been by his side. she was older and she had a instinct to protect him from the moment he was born, as all older sisters do. although she didn't always succeed, she tried her best. catalina put her entire life on hold when her brothers started playing professional football. she had a good social life. a boyfriend, friends, a nine to five, she was happy.
but for joão and hugo she'd do anything so she gave it all up to work as their manager and support them. taking on this job came with constant moving, there was always something new, new people, new food, new country, new city. there was never any calmness. everything in her life revolved around football. business life and personal as well. she over saw it all.
she mainly focused on joão. hugo didn't need much babying, he had a girlfriend and their parents, but joão was all alone in his world. hugo understood why catalina focused on joão more and he didn't mind it as long as she took care of his career.
both brothers were lucky enough to have a sister with a law degree and an MBA degree. (Master of Business Administration) catalina was good at separating both aspects of her responsibilities as manager and big sister.
she wasn't perfect though she messed up at times. especially in the big sister department. her biggest mistake was letting joão get involved with her ex best friend magui. the moment catalina found out what magui did. it was so ugly. joão had never seen his sister yell so much in his life. he could never say she didn't care.
before catalina found out about magui cheating, she was planning to quit as joão's manager. she wanted to focus on herself, she hadn't had a love life or friends that weren't her brothers in so long. she was tired of being joão manager, she just wanted to be his big sister and have a life of her own. joão was clueless to this, because he was trying to deal with magui. but after the break up he lost himself, he was so lost, and catalina couldn't leave him. she was starting to believe she never would.
that was until she met a man. this man was in formula one, racing for red bull. he was a two time world champion with daddy issues. max verstappen loved sim racing and he loved the beach. he was a cat person but he loved cata's dog floki. max was perfect for her and they were completely in love with each other. someone that perfect had to have a flaw, and he did one giant flaw. he was in a relationship and as much as max wished she would, catalina would never, ever stoop that low. both of them thought they'd never be happy. but after all...
happily ever after is not a fairy tale, it's a choice.
