The Need To Move On

The Search For Pakhi

Vinayak cried on the call.

Sai got panicked but overwhelmed too hearing Aai from him.

Sai- Dear?

Vinayak- Can you come here? Please

Sai got confused.

Sai- Ok but please don't cry dear. I am coming

Sai rushed to the Chawan House making sure that she didn't get noticed by Virat.

Sai went there and rushed to Vinayak's room. Vinayak hugged her.

Vinayak- Aai (sobbed)

Sai hugged him even more tightly.

That's when Virat came because Ashwini told him Vinayak was crying.

Vinayak raised his hand when Virat tried to come close. He stepped away from Sai. 

He narrated the whole story word to word.

Sai and Virat got shocked listening to it.

Vinayak- I am sorry from mumma's side (sadly)

Sai and Virat kneeled down in front of him.

Sai + Virat- Vinayak (sad with tears)

Vinayak took a deep breath.

Vinayak- Aai. I am sorry. I am sorry for pushing you that day. I will live with you from now

Sai and Virat grinned hearing it.

Vinayak- But please. You can never take mumma's place in my life. I will keep loving her. She has been with me all these years. I can never give you her place. She's much more important to me

Sai's smile fell hearing it while Virat had understanding smile because he had seen Pakhi loving Vinayak so much.

Sai nodded with a sad but understanding smile.

Sai- Ok Dear. Who told you this?

Vinayak- Mumma (sniffled)

Virat was much happy hearing this. He smiled thinking of Pakhi. She finally got their child rid of the fear. Pakhi indeed was a good mother.

Virat- Where is Pakhi? (Smiled)

Vinayak glared at him with hate.

Vinayak- Why do you care now? You pushed her. Didn't you? So be happy she is not here

Virat got heartbroken listening it.

Sai- Vinu. Don't talk to baba like that (angry)

Vinu- But Aai (protest)

Sai glared at him so he stopped.

Vinu- Sorry Aai. Sorry Baba (slow tone)

Sai and Virat smiled at him.

Sai- Now tell (softly) where is Pakhi didi?

Vinayak broke down into tears.

Virat- What happened? (Scared) Where is she? (Panicked) Did she do some-- (paused and shook his head)

Vinayak- She left us. She told me to live with you both, my real parents and she sighed these papers. She also gave three letters (sobbed)

Virat took the documents and Sai peeked into it.

Both got shocked seeing the divorce papers signed.

Vinayak- This letter is for baba, this is for Aai, this is for both of you (points cutely)

Sai and Virat were hell shocked and confused.

Virat- How can she go away like this? Without considering talking (angry)

Sai- Virat Chawan. You were the one who pushed her and brought these documents. So you have no right to be angry (whispered harshly)

Virat looked at her taken aback.

Vinayak- She will never come back (cried)

Virat- I will search for her and bring her back (determined)

Vinayak- As if she will come with YOU (scoffed)

Virat sighed and took out his phone.

Virat- She wouldn't have left Nagpur by now. Sai, search if she took her passport

Sai got up confused. She didn't know what this man was upto.

She went and searched the drawers.

Sai- She took it (worried)

Sai glanced at Vinayak who looked sadder than ever and kept crying looking down.

Virat immediately called his assistant.

Virat- I have send you my wife's picture. Immediately send it to every police station in the city, border, aiport and train station. Tell them to stop her once they find her (stern)

Sai and Vinayak looked at him widening their eyes.

Vinayak- What are you doing? (Shocked)

Virat just smiled at him.

Sai- Virat you can't force her (angry) call her instead. This is so--

She couldn't find the correct words.

Virat- She won't pick up my call. I know her well. Once it gets on her head to be rigid, she is then. I have to try twisted ways with her (calm)

Sai closed her eyes in frustration. Was he serious? He will end up angering her more.

Sai and Vinayak stared upset at him.

Vinayak sighed dejectedly and sat down on the bed. He crawled at the bedside table and picked up a photo frame. It was of him and Pakhi.

He caressed her face on it and kissed it. He hugged the photo close to his heart.

Virat and Sai watched him sadly.

He loved her a lot!

Virat- You can't leave my son and me like that (thinks in mind)

One hour passed.

Two hours passed.

Sai kept consoling Vinayak. He refused to eat anything. His heart was shattered loosing his mumma.

Virat was trying his best. Till now no station said they found her so she was still in the city.

That kept them hopeful till the end.

Finally, after what felt like ages, Virat got a call.

'Sir, we found her and have held her'

Virat beamed in happiness.

Virat- Great we are just reaching there (smiled)

'Be fast sir. She's getting hard to control and has wreaked a havoc for not letting her go, she's scary'

Virat burst into laughter.

Virat- Don't worry I am coming

Virat turned to face Vinayak and Sai who were looking at him puzzled.

Virat- We found her!
