When I came to, I heard laughing. I can't exactly describe it, but it had an echo to it. I opened my eyes and all I saw was an endless white void. Oh god, I thought, I've died! I was dead and stuck in limbo! In my panic, I sat up, looking around for the laughter.
"Hello? Who's there?" As much as I looked around, I couldn't see anything but a plain, white void.
"Go to the woods, kid." The voice said. The woods? What was in the woods?
"What? I-I don't understand." I stood up from where I was laying on the floor, taking a few steps in... whatever direction I was going. I couldn't tell which way was East or West, right or left. Everything looked the same, there was so much space yet none at all.
"The woods. Go to the woods," It said again.
"The woods? What- why?" Somehow, the air smelled like confusion and chaos. It was almost suffocating.
"There's a statue, somewhere in the woods. Find it, shake its hand, and I'll give you whatever you want."
"The statue in the woods, shake its hand... got it. Uh- who, or what, are you? and where are you?" I took another look around.
"You'll figure that out soon enough. Now wake up, (Y/N). Wake up," It laughed at me, the sound circling around me. "Wake up, (Y/N), wake up!"
"Wake up, (Y/N)." It was Ford's voice. "Come on, kid, wake up."
When I opened my eyes, I saw both sets of twins looming over me, looking down at me. I had an awful, pounding headache. Ford was knelt down next to me, his hand to my forehead, presumably to check my temperature for a fever. He then pulled out a small flashlight from one of his (many) coat pockets and shined the light in my eyes. I squinted and used my hand as a shield against the light. The brightness made my headache worse. "I'm okay, really. I'm fine." I sat up from where I lay, slowly getting up onto my feet. Ford and Stan helped stabilize me, but I didn't really think I needed it. I took a small step forward, wobbled a bit, then found my balance.
"What the heck happened?" Stan asked, dusting off my back. I tried to think of the events that led up to my passing out. All I could think of was the weird void-like state that I was in after blacking out.
"I don't know... I think I was hit in the head?" I rubbed the back of my head where I remembered I had been hit. "I don't know what happened, but when I passed out I had this really weird dream... but I'm okay. I promise."
"Alright, well, we should head back to the shack and you should get some rest. You may have a concussion, but we won't know for sure until more symptoms show up," Ford explained as he and Stan led me back to the car. Dipper and Mabel followed close behind. As we got back in the car, I began to think of what I might have missed at the arena.
"Sorry I ruined the laser tag," I chuckled softly, buckling my seatbelt as Mabel sat down next to me.
She gave me a gentle pat on the back. "Hey, it's okay, don't feel bad about it. One time, at the fair, Dipper ate some bad funnel cake and-"
"Mabel! Stop telling people that story!" Dipper shouted, his face reddening with embarrassment. Mabel just laughed at him, shrugging her shoulders.
"Sorry Bro-Bro."

When we arrived back at the shack, Mabel was more than happy to lead me up to her and Dipper's room. There were two beds, pressed against adjacent walls, and I could definitely tell whose bed was whose. Mabel's side was colorful, fun, and almost childlike. It was reflective of her bright personality. Dipper's side, however, was reminiscent of a Boy Scout. I could see a backpack laid out on the floor with a plethora of papers, notebooks, and chewed up pens strewn about. Mabel took me to her bed, and even tucked me in with her stuffed animals. I appreciated her efforts to make me comfortable.
"Rest here, and if you need anything, just call. Dipper will be happy to bring you anything you need!" She smiled at me before exiting the room. I tried to fall asleep as I lay in the small, surprisingly comfortable bed. I really tried, but all I could think about was that voice telling me to go to the woods. I closed my eyes and ignored the faint voice in the back of my head and just forced myself to sleep. For a second, it worked, and I was fast asleep, but I was back in that blank void.
"C'mon, kid. Go to the woods. Find the statue. Aren't you curious? You're always looking for answers... I can give you all the answers in the whole universe. Tick tock, kid."
I woke up with a start. I had to find that statue, the offer of endless answers was too tempting to dismiss. The voice was right, I was way too curious for my own good. I rose out of bed and made my out of the room, down the stairs, and out the shack. I avoided the family, ducking past the doorway as fast as I could. I don't know why, but something was telling me to keep this little "visit" to myself.
I walked out into the woods, looking in every direction to find this statue. I walked and walked and walked until it seemed like my body was pulling me in the right direction. The feeling was odd, the way my feet knew which way to go before my brain did, but eventually I ended up at a strange looking statue. It looked like the Eye of Providence, the one on the back of the dollar bill. It had a top hat, and one outstretched hand. Was this the right statue? I sure hoped so. The voice before told me to shake its hand. I reached out, wrapping my six fingered hand around the statue's. It was cold at first, but heat up rather quickly, engulfing both of our hands in a blue flame. Wincing, I reeled my hand back, clutching it slightly. I heard the laughing again, except this time there was a face to the voice. Well... I wouldn't really call it a face, it was more of a... shape. He, or it, was an acute, equilateral triangle. It was yellow in color, with black accents and one eye, with very long lashes.
"Great job finding my statue, kid. I knew you were smart." He (? its still unclear what its gender was) said to me. I was in awe. I had never seen anything like this before, it was amazing.
"Who are you? What are you? Where did you come from? Oh man, I need a piece of paper so I can document this or something!" My confusion turned into excitement rather quickly. I had to know who this being was, and what it wanted with me.
"Woah, easy, kid. Don't have an aneurysm," He laughed and straightened his bow tie, which I wasn't sure how it was staying up, it wasn't attached to anything. "The name's Bill Cipher. I'm a being of pure power, and I only talk to the smartest, most powerful beings. You're one of them."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was I being approached by a god? It seemed like it, and he was telling me that I was smart and powerful... it felt good. "Well, Bill, my name is-"
"Oh, I know who you are, (Y/N) Pines. You're Fordsy's descendant. You're a six fingered freak like him."
My smile faded a bit as he called me a freak, but he was quick to follow it up.
"Don't take it harsh, Sixer. Freaks are great! Freaks rule the multiverse. You're talking to the freakiest of them all." He laughed, closing his one eye as he did so. He did have a point, we were both freaks. The smile returned. "I want to make a deal with you, Six. Let me into your mind, we'll be partners. I'll give you every answer you've ever wanted and in return you'll let me come and go from your mind as I please."
I thought his offer over, humming skeptically. "I don't know, it doesn't really seem like I'm getting much out of it-"
"You'll get everything you've ever wanted out of life. I can give you that. I'm all powerful, the possibilities are endless. You'd be partnering with the most powerful being in the universe. C'mon, Six, don't make the wrong choice." He held his hand out to me, it had the same blue flame from earlier. After a bit more thought, I finally reached out and shook his hand.
"It's a deal."
