The flight wasn't delayed, so we boarded the plane around five o'clock in the afternoon with my manager and an artist named Stacey. She's younger than me, so she calls me ate.
We were in business class, so we weren't seated next to each other, giving me some privacy. The flight was estimated to be 15 hours and 35 minutes, so I spent my time watching, reading, and sleeping.
The flight was smooth; I didn't even realize we had landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
But it wasn't over yet because we hadn't cleared customs, which took 2 hours or more. After that, we finally met the booked service that would take us to the hotel.
We booked a hotel near the Vogue Theater, the Wedgewood Hotel and Spa.
It's a beautiful hotel, so when we arrived, the staff greeted us and assisted us to our room. They even explained the functions of the equipment in our room. Once they left, I jumped onto the bed and lay down.
I felt so exhausted because of the flight. I'm alone in one room because my companions and I are in separate rooms.
Because of the exhaustion, I fell asleep right away.
The next morning, I woke up to the sound of knocking on the door, so I immediately got up to check. It was my manager; she told me about my schedule. We are going to the Vogue Center to shoot some photos for a magazine, which I'm so excited about because it's my very first time to be in Vogue New York.
I immediately took a shower and dressed in trousers and a simple white shirt with a jacket on top. I added some simple makeup because I would be getting more dressed up at the studio.
After that, I left the room and took the elevator to the lobby because that's where Stacey and my manager said they would be waiting for me.
When they saw me, they immediately approached me, and our manager assisted us while we were getting into our service van heading to Vogue Theater.
I got distracted watching what we passed by through the van's window, so I didn't notice that we had already arrived. The van was parked, and we got out and went inside. When we entered, the staff greeted us, so I smiled and waved at them.
I went into the dressing room with Stacey, and we were seated there to get ready. Three people worked on me-one for my hair and two for my makeup, the makeup artist and an assistant, I think.
I was just looking at my face in the mirror. They prepped my face first before applying foundation. My manager said the theme for Vogue was a dark theme, and I could see it in my makeup-thick eyeliner, gray eyeshadow, no lipstick, and no blush, just foundation and focus on the eyes.
For my hair, the stylist was straightening it and she also adding fake bangs.
After we got ready, we went to the dressing room and changed. Stacey changed too, and her eye makeup was the same as mine, but she wore red lipstick while I had only oil tint on my lips. She has short hair with fake bangs.
I was dressed in a black off-shoulder dress, while Stacey wore black top and black jeans.
After we dressed up, we went out to take some pictures. The photographer taught us how to pose for the concept. We both turned our backs and leaned against each other's backs, without any expression, because that's what the cameraman instructed.
Ms. Corpuz, can you add a smirk smile while you, Ms. Reyes, stay with no expression. Now, pose.
I followed that, so we were immediately applauded. They had us do a lot more, so it took two hours to finish. After the shoot, I took a shower at the hotel because we went back to the hotel after that.
