Building Bonds -A Ruin x Solar story-

Chapter 5

                                        I wake up the next morning. Dang. I really needed that sleep. Ruin is gone, but I don't mind too much. Sure, we were gonna do all those fun things and I was kinda looking forward to it, but It's okay. I sit up, stretching my arms before noticing a not taped to my forehead. How did I not notice that? I take the not off my forehead and read it.

                                                                                    Dear Solar,

                                     You were out all night! You must've really needed that sleep! Sorry I'm not there. I had a few things stop take care of. Call me or text me if you ever want to hang out again some time!

                                     I smile before folding up the note and putting it in my pocket. I glance at all the blankets and pillows on the floor. I'll do it later. I walk over to the stairs and head up them, going to the Daycare. Moon probably won't be happy that I was gone all night. Moon gets really, whats the word, impatient when it comes to information. Or anything he wants. God, sometimes he's like a child. I walk into the Daycare, sighing heavily. Moon runs up to me, putting his hands on my shoulders and shaking me. Why do people like shaking me so much? "WHERE WERE YOUUU?!" Moon says. "I was sleeping." I say as he stops shaking me. "For once."

"So, anything on Ruin?" Moon asks.

"Well, he and I were going to have a sleepover. His idea. I sorta fell asleep and when I woke up, He was gone saying he had to 'do things'." 

"And those things are?"

"Who knows."

               Moon groans, putting his hands over his face. I chuckle as Lunar walks in. He looks straight at me. "Solar." I look over at him. "What?" "You and I are switching places. Good luck with kids." He says, and before I can respond, he leaves. I process what he said before speaking. "WAIT WHAT." I say. Moon chuckles. "Good luck." He says before walking away as well. I groan. WHHHYYYYYYYYYyy. 

                                               I turn around, scanning the Daycare. Might as well get it ready for kids. I activate 'Sun mode' and start stacking barrels. I let my mind wander, and for some reason, it chooses to think of Ruin. He's pretty nice, and people think his accent is annoying, but I really like it. Is it crazy that he's one of my favorite people after one day? Probably. Oh well. Sucks. As I think of Ruin, an odd happiness washes over me, causing my cheeks to heat up a bit. I like everything about him. His laugh, his voice, his personality, his body... 

                                 I get snapped out of my thoughts by Earth nudging me. "Solar? You okay? What are you doing here?" Earth asks. "Oh, I'm okay. Just thinking. Also, me and Lunar switched places today. For some reason." I say with a shrug. Earth stares at me for a while. She knows I'm new to taking care of kids full time. She shakes her head. "Good luck." She says. 

                                                                     "Wha-" I start to say. 

               I get cut off my kids pouring into the Daycare. This is going to be a long day...
