As Chan landed softly on the rooftop of his house, the city lights twinkling like diamonds below, he let out a deep yawn, the weariness of the night's events finally catching up with him. He reached up and gently removed his deep blue mask, revealing the chiseled features of his face, his eyes gleaming with a soft, exhausted light. With a quiet click, he pressed the center of his chest, and a small, hidden panel slid open, courtesy of Tony Stark's ingenious design. A soft hum filled the air as the suit's systems powered down, and Chan stepped into the chimney, the familiar sensation of the suit's gravitational stabilizers kicking in as he descended into his studio.
As he emerged into the dimly lit space, Chan let out a soft sigh, feeling the weight of the night's adventures slowly lifting off his shoulders. He carefully laid his Spider King suit on a nearby chair, the intricate web-patterns on the suit's arms and legs seeming to shimmer in the soft light. With a quiet groan, he made his way to his bed, feeling his muscles ease into the softness of the mattress as he settled in.
But his respite was short-lived. Just as he closed his eyes, the blaring of the alarm system shattered the silence, and Chan shot up in bed, his eyes snapping open with a mix of tiredness and alarm. "Oh, stars above, help me so I don't burn those villains to the ground," he muttered to himself, already throwing off the covers and swinging his legs over the side of the bed.
With a swift motion, he suited up, the familiar sensation of the suit's systems powering up around him a comforting balm to his frazzled nerves. He quickly dialed Seungmin's number, and the other boy's worried voice crackled over the comms system. "Seungmin, what happened?" Chan asked, his voice laced with concern, as he helped the muscular boy down to the floor.
Seungmin's face was a mess, his mask askew, and a faint smudge of blood on his lip. Chan's eyes narrowed, his grip on Seungmin's arm tightening as he took in the sight. "That thing is still in there," Seungmin breathed out, his chest heaving with exertion.
Just then, a low, husky voice cut through the air, and Chan's eyes flicked up to see Black Cat sauntering into the room, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Really, Spider King? I thought you and your team were tougher and stronger than the Avengers. I mean, you just debuted a year ago, and here you are, bleeding like a kid." She chuckled, a low, throaty sound, and held up a small vial in her paws.
Chan's eyes blazed with a fierce intensity as he glared at Black Cat, his voice dripping with venom. "We are strong enough to confront a thief of your caliber, Black Cat," he snarled, his words laced with a quiet confidence that sent a shiver down Black Cat's spine. With a swift motion, he extended his claws, the sharp tips glinting in the dim light of the studio.
Black Cat's eyes widened beneath her feline mask, a flicker of surprise dancing across her face. "Since when does Spider-Man have claws?" she growled, her voice low and menacing, as she secured a vial to her belt and lunged at Spider King with a fluid motion.
But Spider King was no ordinary hero. With a swift dodge, he sidestepped Black Cat's attack, his agility and quick reflexes allowing him to evade her strike by mere inches. As he countered, his claws flashed in the light, leaving a sharp scratch on Black Cat's gear.
Black Cat's eyes narrowed, her gaze flashing with anger, as she took in the sight of the scratch. "You're not Spider-Man," she spat, her voice dripping with venom. "Who are you, then?"
Chan's response was a low, menacing growl, his eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity. "I am Spider King," he declared, his voice echoing through the studio like a challenge. The air seemed to vibrate with tension as the two enemies faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare-down.
For a moment, the only sound was the soft hum of the studio's systems, and the heavy breathing of the two combatants. Then, without warning, Black Cat sprang into action, her movements a blur of speed and agility as she launched herself at Spider King once more. The battle was far from over, and Spider King was ready to take on the challenge.
