Dear Diary,
Sitting underneath this tree, I learned something today.
I watched as the leaves floated to the ground.
As children threw a Frisbee back and forth.
Everything reaches a peak eventually.
Everything is brought up so high that they can’t help but feel elated.
But then it happens.
Right after it hits that peak, it begins to fall.
Gravity is a force to be reckoned with.
And no matter how hard it tries, it can never fight gravity.
Some times the falls are heart breaking.
A man in the height of his life getting into the car instead of giving his keys away.
A child who had the possibility to live, but it’s breath was snatched away abruptly.
But sometimes watching the fall can be satisfying.
Like watching him get carried off into that black and white car.
Watching his ashen face as he realizes that it is the end.
Everyone and everything descends eventually.
The real question is not how you will fall.
But how you will survive the landing.
