Miya Centric:
Miya couldn't sleep. It was currently past midnight. She had heard the sound of lights being turned off earlier. It had become quiet, too. The boys had probably gone to bed.She lets out a sigh. It had always been like this. She used to have nightmares when she was younger. They were so bad that she would fail to go back to sleep. As she grew older, the nightmares stopped. But they instead developed into chronic insomnia, and she was experiencing it right now.
She gets out of bed, wondering what to do. Checking the time, she saw that it was one in the morning.
"Might as well use this time to be productive since I can't sleep anyways," she mutters to herself quietly.
She quietly walks to the door of her room, holding her shoes in one hand so that they won't make noise as opposed to if she had worn them. She then ties her hair into a ponytail, grabbing her duffle bag that she had left on the floor next to the door before slinging it over her shoulder.
She steps out of the room, walking on the tips of her toes. The doors of the dorm were not creaky and didn't make any noise when they were opened and closed, which she was extremely thankful for.
The walk to the JYPE building was peaceful. She had always been a night owl, so taking in the cool post midnight air was extremely relieving to her. She let out a sigh. It was a happy one this time. She felt way better than she did at the dorm.
When she entered the building, she noticed how quiet it was. It was to be expected. A lot of trainees or idols probably wouldn't be practising at this time. That meant she could have a practice room to herself.
She walked for a bit until she found an empty practice room. 'Perfect,' she thinks.
She set her duffle bag down on one of the chairs in the room. She then connected her phone to a Bluetooth speaker that was conveniently in the room. Maybe a trainee or idol had left it there by accident?
Either way, she didn't mind. She put the volume at a low setting but made sure it was still audible enough for her to dance to. She decided to go through the choreos she had done with the boys today... or yesterday rather. Especially the ones that had gotten her sprayed the most
Time skip (two hours later):
Miya had practised until she felt like she physically couldn't anymore. There was this hand movement in the chorus of S-Class that she kept on messing up. It was also the move that had gotten her sopping wet during dance practice. She shuddered as she thought back to it.She pulled herself into a standing position, having previously been laying on the floor of the practice room. She wiped off some sweat that had gathered on her forehead, feeling exhausted after the hours of practice she had done.
She tasked, grabbing her duffle bag again as she got ready to head back to the dorm. "And to think I was supposed to be in a dance-based group. At least falling asleep will be easier now."
Third Person POV:
As Miya completed her practice, the building remained quiet, save for the faint hum of an air conditioner. In another part of the building, Chan had stayed behind in the studio, immersed in his work. Stray Kids had just made a comeback, and he was already back at it, crafting potential tracks for their next release. It was typical of the Aussie leader to push himself relentlessly, a trait his members had long accepted despite their occasional concerns.Today, however, was different. He had the motivation and inspiration. He just couldn't implement them through his ideas. He couldn't stop thinking about Stray Kids' newest member, Miya, for some reason. He had no idea why...
Actually, he had some speculations. He would keep them to himself for now, though.
After procrastinating for a while, he finally gave up and decided to go back to the dorm. It was no use to stay, as he wasn't getting anything useful done.
Walking through the JYPE building, he heard something that made him stop in his tracks. Was that S-Class playing from a practice room? Or was it just his sleep deprived mind playing tricks on him? The volume was low but still audible. He decided to investigate, just to be sure.
He quietly walks to the practice room where he thought the music was coming from, not wanting to alert whoever was inside. He pushed open the door to the practice room, just by enough to clearly see what was happening inside...
What he saw made his eyes widen. Miya was dancing to the choreography of S-Class. She hadn't heard the sound of the door opening as she was too engrossed in what she was doing. He let out a sigh in relief at that. He decided to observe her for a bit...
She was actually pretty good. If she just practised more, she would get the hang of Stray Kids' choreographies in no time.
"What the hell?" he mutters to himself when he realised what he had been thinking.
He shakes his head. It was probably from the lack of sleep. He begins to walk away and resume his trip back to the dorm, deciding not to bother her.
