☁️FLUFF☁️

The first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains, each ray casting a soft glow across the room. Sleepily rubbing my eyes, I wriggled around in the blankets, embracing the warmth that was cocooning me. 7.30am, way to early. That's what I get for becoming a footballer. The only thing that made waking up at this ungodly hour bearable was Leah, whose arm draped over my waist lazily.

I turned to face her as slowly as possible, being careful not to disturb her. Her face was entirely relaxed, with a few strands of hair falling over her closed eyes. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of her. Even in sleep she radiates warmth and strength, which i found endless reassurance and safety in.

I gently brushed the stray hairs off of her face, my hands lingering on her face as i slowly ran my thumb along her cheek. Leah stirred ever so slightly, her eyes fluttering open as she did so. Once her gaze met mine i was met with a sleepy smile curling across her lips.

"Morning Beautiful" she murmured in her sleepy voice. God I love her sleep voice.

"Morning" I whispered back, leaning in to press a soft kiss on her forehead. "Sleep well?"

Leah nodded shifting closer, "I always do when your next to me"

I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her in tight as she snuggled into my chest. Her head finally rested as she got comfy and let out a sigh of relief.

For a few moments we just lay there, neither of us speaking, just enjoying the sounds of the birds songs and feeling the rise and fall of each others chests. The world around us  seemed to always feel loud so moments like this were never taken for granted. It felt as if time slowed down as we just lay there enjoying each others company.

Eventually, Leah tilted her head up so her eyes met mine.
"What do you want to do today??" She questions. I raise one eyebrow playfully and we just laugh it off. I ran my hands through her hair as i was trying to figure out what i actually wanted to do today.
"Honestly..I think i just want to stay here with you, eat take out and watch christmas movies, it is almost christmas after all"
Leah let out a giggle before she says "sounds perfect, i'll do the ordering!"
"Deal" I say nodding and laughing.

We spent the rest of the day tangled up in bed sheets, stuffing our faces and exchanging sweet nothings. The smell of fresh coffee filled the air as you both sat and giggled at the silly rom-com playing. I couldn't help but think about how lucky I am to be with Leah and how this moment is perfect.
With Leah at my side, even the most boring days become perfect.
