Special Chapter: Our First Kiss

Sattayu once mentioned that after a long, tiring day at work, resting his head on her lap felt like receiving a revitalizing boost. If life were a game, then Pannipha would be the healer, restoring him back to full health.

Today was no different. Upon returning home, Sattayu appeared visibly exhausted. As soon as he saw Pannipha, he made his way to her, laid his head on her lap without saying a word, closed his eyes, and let her gently stroke his hair to comfort him.

“Do you want to take a nap?” she asked softly. “Your face looks so tired. Do you have a headache?”

“No,” he replied, “but a little rest would be nice.”

“Okay,” Pannipha said. “Why don’t you freshen up with a shower and then we can have dinner together? P’ Perth should be back from the shop soon. He just went out to pick up some things before coming home.”

Sattayu nodded slightly and adjusted his position to make himself more comfortable. He soon fell asleep, despite a part of him wishing he could go to bed instead, fearing that his girlfriend might be uncomfortable with him resting on her lap. However, he was too tired to keep his eyes open, so he stayed as he was.

Pannipha smiled faintly while she continued to stroke his head. She focused on the television screen, trying to move as little as possible so as not to disturb him.

Hours passed, and Pannipha began to feel the numbness in her legs. Even so, she remained still, wanting Sattayu to rest a bit longer. She could tell from his face that he had been working hard and hadn’t had a break in a while.

She gently brushed aside a stray lock of hair from his forehead, smiling as he shifted slightly and grasped her hand. His face rested against her hand once more, and he was still deeply asleep. It was clear he was very tired, so she decided to endure the discomfort in her legs a little longer.

The sound of the front door opening announced Sarin’s arrival, and he appeared in the living room. Seeing this, Pannipha quickly gestured for him to be quiet with a finger to her lips and pointed down to her lap. Sarin nodded in understanding and spoke softly.

“I stopped by to buy ingredients for dinner. Please bear with being hungry a little longer.”

“I can wait,” Pannipha replied. “But what about P’ Perth?”

“He went to the kitchen. I’ll start cooking right away.”

“No need to rush. I’d like P’ Yu to get a bit more rest.”

“Okay.”

After Sarin went to the kitchen, Pannipha looked down at Sattayu again. They had been together for three months now, and it had been a wonderful three months. In fact, their relationship had always been good, never once experiencing any problems, whether physical or emotional. Sattayu continued to take care of her as always, unchanged despite their new status.
