Chapter 1: Feeling Awkward

           "Three years, huh..."

The young lady repeated the words to herself, though she accidentally said them out loud. Her brother, who was sitting next to her, turned to look at her. When his gaze lingered, she finally realized what she had done and quickly turned to meet his eyes. The siblings exchanged looks before her brother broke the silence.

"Three years of what?"

"Huh… Did I say that out loud?"

"You sure did," Purin nodded, then as if something dawned on him, he grinned mischievously and said, "Has a guy just confessed that he's liked you for three years, you little rascal? Who is it, huh?"

Pannipha scrunched up her nose, her cheeks growing warm with embarrassment as she avoided his gaze. But then, as if something clicked, her eyes widened, and she whipped her head back around to look at him, exclaiming loudly with cheeks now visibly red.

"P' Perth! Did you know!?"

"Know what?"

Pannipha nearly bared her teeth at her older brother, still flustered but now grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him as hard as she could. Of course, Phurin barely budged under her strength, though his body swayed a little, more from her exaggerated effort than anything else.

"Tell me now! You knew that P' Yu was going to confess his love to me, didn't you!?"

"Oh wow, a love confession, huh? Finally, huh?"

"P' Perth!"

One sibling was flustered and annoyed (mostly to cover her embarrassment), while the other burst into loud laughter. It was unclear whether he found the situation genuinely funny or if he was just teasing his sister. Their noisy exchange and loud laughter echoed through the house, loud enough that the guest who had just arrived could hear it from the front.

Sarin raised an eyebrow, glancing at Sattayu with an amused smile. The younger man chuckled softly and shook his head, already resigned to being teased by his brother after having confided in him about what he did with Pannipha a few days ago. Today, he was prepared to take the teasing without protest.

"Looks like P' Perth's up to his usual tricks, teasing Paen again," Sattayu remarked.

"That's typical of him. He loves and protects his sister, but he sure does enjoy teasing her," Sarin replied, adjusting his glasses before leading the way. "Let's go. We made it just in time for lunch. Those two must be starving by now."

The two brothers, Sat and Sarin, had brought along some food—freshly prepared and neatly packed in thermal containers, including all the essentials: vegetables, fruits, and, of course, dessert. All of it was, as expected, professionally prepared by Sarin.

As soon as they stepped into the small living room, Sattayu was greeted by the sight of the siblings wrestling playfully. Phurin was dodging a pillow that Paen was swinging at him with all her might. He laughed and teased her without the slightest concern for her pouting face, which only made her swing harder.
