It was one of those rare quiet days at the dorm, where the usual bustle and noise seemed to have taken a break. Chloe was lounging on the couch, scrolling through her phone, when Sullyoon entered the living room, her movements almost hesitant.
"Yoona, come sit," Chloe said, patting the spot next to her.
Sullyoon hesitated for a moment before joining Chloe on the couch. They sat in silence, the only sound being the soft hum of the air conditioner. After a few moments, Sullyoon spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's nice... when it's quiet like this."
Chloe nodded in agreement, putting her phone down. "Yeah, it is. Peaceful."
They lapsed back into silence, but it was a comfortable one. Chloe could tell that Sullyoon was still getting used to the constant energy and chaos that came with being a part of NMIXX. But in these quiet moments, Chloe could see the real Yoona, the one who thrived in simplicity.
"Chloe... you're really close with Lily, right?" Sullyoon asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
Chloe glanced at her, surprised by the question. "Yeah, we've known each other for a long time. She's like a sister to me."
Sullyoon nodded thoughtfully. "I can see that. You're always looking out for each other."
Chloe smiled, touched by the observation. "Yeah, we do. But you know, you're part of that too. We all look out for each other."
Sullyoon looked down at her hands, a small smile playing on her lips. "I know. It's just... sometimes it's hard to believe I fit in."
Chloe felt a pang of sympathy for her friend. She reached over and gently squeezed Sullyoon's hand. "Yoona, you fit in just fine. You belong here, with us. And if you ever feel like you don't, just remember that we're all here for you."
Sullyoon looked up, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Chloe. That means a lot."
Chloe gave her a warm smile, feeling a sense of contentment settle over her. "Anytime, Yoona. Anytime."
