The dorm was quiet, save for the occasional rustling of sheets or a distant car passing by outside. Jiwoo had already gone to bed, and Chloe was almost there herself-almost. But the faint sound of a bag of chips crinkling caught her attention, pulling her out of her sleepy haze. She peeked over the side of her bed, where Lily sat cross-legged on the floor, the glow from her phone screen illuminating her face as she munched away.
"Lil, are you seriously eating at this hour?" Chloe whispered, half-amused, half-exasperated.
Lily looked up, grinning through a mouthful of chips. "It's never too late for snacks, Chloe. Wanna join?"
Chloe rolled her eyes but couldn't resist. She grabbed her blanket and slid off her bed, plopping down beside Lily. "What are we watching?"
"Just some random drama clips," Lily said, offering the chips to Chloe. "You know, the ones with the overly dramatic breakups and tearful confrontations."
Chloe snorted, taking a handful. "Oh, those are the best. The acting is so bad it's good."
They sat in comfortable silence, watching the clips and occasionally exchanging comments. Chloe's head found its way onto Lily's shoulder, and Lily instinctively patted her back.
"You know, we've been doing this for years," Lily said suddenly, her tone soft.
"Yeah, since we were trainees," Chloe murmured. "Remember when we used to sneak snacks into the practice room?"
Lily chuckled. "And got caught by the staff more times than I can count. But hey, at least we weren't the only ones."
"Yeah, but I was always the one getting the lecture because I was the younger one," Chloe replied with a grin.
"Well, someone had to take the fall," Lily teased, nudging her. "But look at you now-still causing trouble."
Chloe laughed, sitting up. "And you're still enabling me, unnie."
Lily smiled, pulling Chloe into a side hug. "Wouldn't have it any other way."
