"Eomeonim!" Dowoon shouted around as he dismounted their car.
Wonpil had driven the car. Sungjin had initially insisted that he'd drive but Wonpil didn't let him and instead made him sit on the back while Jaehyung sat on the shotgun. Younghyun sat in between Dowoon and Sungjin on the back, Dowoon on his left.
At some point, Sungjin got tired and Younghyun told him that he can lean on him to sleep. Sungjin was a bit hesitant but eventually leaned against him. He had woken up before Younghyun could when they were near their destination already.
Dowoon had asked Sungjin if his childhood friend, 'girlfriend' as Younghyun interrupted, could come over to their house. Sungjin had said that it was fine, that it would be fine with his parents too.
Wonpil and Jaehyung dismounted the car as well, the older stretching and the younger walking toward the porch where Dowoon was greeting Sungjin's parents. He greeted them too.
Younghyun stayed with Sungjin who was still sitting beside him, looking out of the window and into the vast field. He accompanied him as he still tried to sober up. Younghyun stared at his side profile with a small smile.
He could tell that Sungjin was starting to calm down. He could tell he really missed his home. And he held his hand. Sungjin blinked before turning to look at him and holding his hand back.
"Okay, hyung?" Younghyun smiled wider.
Sungjin sighed before chuckling softly and nodding, "Yeah. Let's go."
Younghyun followed him out of the car.
"Oh, Sungjin-ah, Younghyun-ah," Sungjin's mother softly greeted with a grin.
Beside her was her husband. Sungjin walked ahead of Younghyun and embraced them tightly. Younghyun watched them from behind and after they greeted Sungjin, they embraced him too.
"Come on in. Have you eaten yet?" his father questioned as they entered their house.
"Yes, Abeonim," Jaehyung politely replied.
"Well, eat again," Sungjin's mother gestured to the kitchen.
They laughed softly but obeyed. The elderly couple prepares them lunch.
"Oh, Mom, Dowoonie's girlfriend is coming over," Sungjin informed, his accent thick.
Younghyun grinned at him and Sungjin, though confused as to why he was grinning at him, smiled. Sungjin having his voice laced with his accent made Younghyun happy.
"She's not my girlfriend!" Dowoon whined.
"Then who is she?" Jaehyung questioned and earned a glare from the maknae.
"She's a childhood friend," Dowoon muttered.
"Whom you like," said Wonpil.
Dowoon rolled his eyes.
Yeonnae arrived an hour after they finished lunch. Dowoon and Younghyun had talked to Jaehyung and Wonpil about their plan to slowly gauge information from their leader. Yeonnae had only listened to them, only speaking when Dowoon asked her.
"Why don't you talk to him, too?" Jaehyung inquired.
"Me? Why?" Yeonnae raised a brow.
"Dowoonie said that you're good at extorting information," Wonpil said.
"You make it sound like a crime," she muttered. "Maybe. I'll see what I can do."
They hung out for the rest of the day, caught up with Sungjin's parents, and got to know Yeonnae and her relationship with Dowoon. No one still has an idea about their abilities, their being an Eron, and shit about seeing red threads. Nighttime came, and then midnight.
