The colors of home, New Orleans bright,
Where the soul of the city dances in light.
A palette rich, a vibrant scene,
In every hue, a story's dream.Golden yellow, the morning sun,
Warming streets where life's begun.
It spills over porches, onto the street,
Where jazz fills the air, lively and sweet.Emerald green of the bayou's edge,
Mystery deep in the mossy hedge.
The swamps and oaks with Spanish moss,
A verdant world, where old meets lost.Purple hues of Mardi Gras,
Revelry's crown, the city's law.
In beads and banners, floats so grand,
A royal color across the land.Vivid blue of a twilight sky,
As day fades slow, and night draws nigh.
The Mississippi's gentle flow,
Reflects the heavens, calm and slow.Deep red of the Creole spice,
In every dish, a touch of life.
From jambalaya to crawfish boil,
In these shades, tradition's toil.White of magnolias, pure and sweet,
Fragrance soft on every street.
A Southern charm, in bloom and grace,
In every corner, it finds its place.Violet pink of a sunset's glow,
Over rooftops, soft and low.
It's in the laughter, the evening's cheer,
As the city hums, with love so near.Turquoise shades of voodoo's lore,
A mystic past, rich in folklore.
In beads and charms, the secrets told,
In colors bold, the spirits hold.Brick red of the French Quarter's walls,
Where history echoes in the halls.
Balconies draped in iron lace,
In every corner, there's a trace.Bright orange of the second line,
Dancing through the streets, so fine.
A celebration of life and death,
In every step, in every breath. The colors of home: New Orleans bright,
A city where the day meets night.
In every shade, in every tone,
I find my heart, I find my home.
