As weeks went by, Remi's feelings for Arlo grew stronger. She found herself thinking about him constantly, her heart racing at the mere thought of his smile or the sound of his voice. The more time she spent with him, the more she realized how deeply she cared for him, and it was becoming harder to ignore these feelings.
One evening, as she sat at the kitchen table staring blankly at her homework, she could no longer keep her feelings to herself. She needed to talk to someone about it, and Rei was the only person she felt comfortable confiding in. With a frustrated sigh, she stormed into the living room where Rei was lounging on the couch.
"Rei, I need to talk to you," she said, her voice tinged with desperation. Rei raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by her sudden outburst.
"What's up?" he asked, setting aside his book.
"I can't stop thinking about Arlo," she blurted out. "Is he always this attractive? I mean, was he always this... charming? I can't get him out of my head, and it's driving me crazy!"
Rei's eyes widened slightly, and a knowing smile tugged at his lips. He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms thoughtfully. "Ah, I see. So, the great Arlo has finally managed to catch your eye."
Remi huffed, throwing her hands up in frustration. "It's more than that! I've been thinking about him all the time. It's like he's everywhere I look. I never realized how... well, amazing he is. I thought I was just really good friends with him, but now—"
Rei chuckled, clearly enjoying his sister's discomfort. "Well, he is pretty impressive. But yeah, I guess he's always had that certain charm. I wouldn't say it's a recent development."
Remi groaned, feeling both embarrassed and annoyed. "Why didn't you tell me? I could've saved myself all this confusion if I'd known how I really felt."
Rei shrugged nonchalantly. "Sometimes, you have to figure these things out on your own. Besides, it's not my place to meddle in your feelings."
Remi's frustration faded slightly, replaced by a resigned smile. "Yeah, yeah. I guess I'll just have to figure this out myself."
Rei looked at her with a mixture of sympathy and amusement. "Well, good luck with that. Just remember, it's okay to have feelings, even if they're complicated."
As Remi trudged back to her room, she felt a mix of relief and confusion. Talking to Rei had helped her articulate her feelings, but it hadn't made them any easier to handle. Her crush on Arlo was only growing stronger, and she knew she needed to confront her emotions sooner or later. For now, she decided to focus on enjoying the moments she had with him, even if they were complicated.
