THE NEW MOON hung in the sky, a dark circle against the stars, marking the beginning of a new cycle. The night was quiet, the world at peace, as if the darkness was holding its breath, waiting for the light to return.

Sunoo stood by the pond, his gaze fixed on the dark sky. It had been weeks since Yuzuki had faded into the shadows, and the pain of her absence still lingered in his heart. But as he looked up at the new moon, he felt a strange sense of calm, as if Yuzuki was still with him, her light guiding him through the darkness.

The night was dark, but not as heavy as it had been. There was a sense of anticipation in the air, a promise of something new, something brighter. Sunoo knew that the light would return, just as Yuzuki had promised.

He closed his eyes, letting the cool night air wash over him, the sound of the wind rustling through the trees a soothing lullaby. And as he stood there, alone but not truly alone, he felt a spark of light ignite within him, a small flame that would grow and burn brightly, even in the darkest night.

The new moon was just the beginning—a sign that the light would return, that the cycle would continue. And with Yuzuki's light within him, Sunoo knew he could face whatever darkness lay ahead.

For even in the deepest night, there was always the promise of dawn.
