The Covert Operation

Chapter 3- The Failed Operation

The military forces of Avalon has been working on preparing for their biggest mission. This mission has been kept covert, because Captain RIchards had suspected that there are mafia agents spying on their activity. The preparations had been going on for 3 days at night in the outskirts. In day times, the military worked on getting more information on the island and the location of the crown. 

After 5 days, the military was ready with more than 500 forces with air and naval support. Captain Richards, Ray and Richa were leading the covert operation while Major Shawn and the ANSA were in charge of technical backup. They had decided to operate their mission on the midnight of the sixth day.

On the sixth day at exactly 12.00 AM, the troops along with the air and naval force were being ready to be deployed by the southern end of the Avalon. 

"Guys, this is our biggest mission in the history of our country. We have to retrieve the crown for our country. It is our responsibility of return an important piece from the history of Avalon. We will be going in groups of 5 in those Tandem Rotors to the island. We will land on its Eastern coast and then walk to the marked destination on your map. If you see any guards in the way, shoot them, but make sure no civilians are killed. When we get to the marked location, we will have to locate the mafia boss to get the crown back. Our next mission would be to free the island with the mafias. Make sure you stay away turrets. You will get more information on your way there. ARE WE READY??" explained Richards.

"YESSS"

"ARE WE READY?????"

" YESSS"

" Good." All of the troops had left for the island and had taken 2 hours to reach there. When 5 Tandem Rotors landed, the mission had official begun.

Captain Richards was with Richa and Ray along with other 100 soldiers who were heading from the west side to the marked location. According to their maps, they were 2 kilometeres away, when loud red sirens rang all over the place.

" I think they know."  The team continued their way. There were B-61 bombers in the air which were owned by the mafias.

" ABORT MISSION. I REPEAT ABORT MISSION. HEAD TO THE SOUTHERN COAST NOW!!!,"  yelled the commanders. 

All of the troops had been confused since there was no proper reason for aborting the mission, because there was no attack on them. Everyone had been back to the coast and had gotten in the helicopter to return back to Avalon. This mission was failed.

" Captains, what were you even thinking! There was no threat to the lives. WHY DID YOU ABORT THE MISSION??"  yelled Major Shawn. 

" Sir, the only reason on aborting the mission was because we saw B-61 Bombers which were nuclear planes which meant they had nukes. They were trying to threaten us for nuking the island or Avalon."

" Why did you not tell us that?"

" Sir, we did not want any other lives get wasted, so we quickly left."

The Major and the captains had a long discussion into the mission and what the next step was. After researching, they found out that terrorist groups were giving them nuclear weapons to use. They had admitted that their mission was failed and they had to still figure out how to get the crown back. Major Shawn had been tensed up because the president did not know about the failed operation and after hearing about it, he would lose his trust on the military.

" Connect me to the president Ray."

Ray had connected the team to the president.

"  Sir, we have failed the operation to get the crown back."

" WHAT NONSENSE ARE YOU SPEAKING SHAWN??? DID U KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THE CROWN WAS TO OUR COUNTRY. YOUR TEAM CAN'T EVEN DO THIS!!" yelled the president.

" Sir, it wasn't our fault. We were all ready and prepared to go, but then after we landed, we saw nuclear bombers in the sky. They were threatening us to use it. We did not want any lives to get killed, so we returned."

The president was not that mad after hearing about the reason the mission was unsuccessful, but had decided to hand it to ANSA. Major Shawn had asked the President Tom to give them one more try to get the crown back. 

"  Listen up Richards, Richa and Ray. The president has given us only one more chance on my trust. We need the crown back. I want you guys to figure out a way to get the crown back and the mafia boss. It is up to you guys now."

" Sir don't worry. We promise that we will make you and Avalon proud on us," promised the 3 captains.
