Vivid BAD SQUAD were currently on break after a practice session. An and Kohane were inside the Crase Café taking a breather while Akito and Toya were outside chugging down their well rewarded water.

This moment gave Akito his chance to ask him a question that's been itching his brain. He felt that Toya would be more comfortable responding to this question where it was only the two of them since it was a bit out of the ordinary.

"Toya." He began.

"Hm?" Toya turned his head to look at his partner, with mixed expressions of stoicism and curiosity.

Akito himself hesitated to ask this mysterious question, feeling weirded out as he never asks something like this.

"Do you.. like anyone?"

Toya remained silent. He kept his expressionless gaze fixed on him, making the atmosphere between the two extremely awkward.

Feeling uncomfortable, Akito broke the eye contact and looked away to the side in embarrassment.

After what felt like hours of silence, Toya finally spoke up.

"I think so. Why?"

The sudden wave of sound startled Akito, making him look up again at Toya, locking eye contact yet again. Both of their faces beamed of red, reflecting on one another.

"N-nothin'. I was just wondering." Akito ruffled his hair to relieve the heat creeping up his face. "Sorry for the sudden question. Was just curious."

"It's okay." Toya said, letting out a quiet chuckle. "What about you? Do you like anyone?"

Not knowing whether he did or didn't expect him to throw the question back at him, Akito thought it was still fair.

"Yeah. But I won't say anything. You'll have to find out on your own." Akito furrowed his eyebrows with a slight smirk on his face.

"Okay. Same goes for you then." Toya also gave a smirk back to Akito.

Their conversation was cut short when they heard footsteps and an overly enthusiastic voice.

"Guys! Break's over. Let's get back on track!" A said, walking over to them with Kohane. "Woah. You guys look like you've just been taken out of a 350 degree oven. Are you both okay?"

Toya nodded while Akito looked at her in pure horror. "Why'd you have to make it so.. specific."

An punched him on the shoulder. "Just answer the question, idiot."

"Whatever. 'M fine." Akito punched her back, but lighter.

A wasn't expecting the punch and accidentally bumped into Kohane, who was right behind her.

"Ah!"

Akito and Toya jolted their bodies while they looked behind An to prepare themselves incase she fell. Luckily, she was able to catch herself before anything happened.

"You idiot! You almost made Kohane fall!" An yelled at him.

"Hey! Where are you going?!"

Akito had no time to respond to her and made his way to Kohane, except someone had beat him to it.

It was no one other than his best friend, Toya.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yes. Thank you Aoyagi!" She smiled at him.

Oh, that smile. That perfectly sweet smile.

A faint blush grew onto Toya. He only nodded in response to avoid stuttering.
