The crisp mountain air of Switzerland greeted Y/N as she stepped off the train, her breath fogging slightly in the cool autumn breeze. The small town of Lausanne, nestled by Lake Geneva, looked like something out of a postcard charming, serene, and unfamiliar. Y/N tightened her grip on her suitcase, her heart fluttering with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. This was her chance for a fresh start, a new life far away from the memories she left behind in the United States.

Her grandmother, a woman with kind eyes and a warm smile, was waiting at the station, waving enthusiastically. "Y/N, darling!" she called out, pulling Y/N into a tight hug. "Welcome to Switzerland. I can't wait to show you around."

"I'm so glad to be here, Grandma," Y/N replied, feeling a sense of comfort wash over her. Her grandmother's presence was a balm to her nerves, and the thought of settling into this picturesque town with someone she loved gave her hope.

The days passed quickly as Y/N adjusted to her new surroundings. Her grandmother's house, a cozy chalet with flower boxes under the windows, felt like home in no time. Y/N spent her days exploring Lausanne, learning to navigate its winding streets, and preparing for her first day at the University of Lausanne (UNIL).

She had transferred in the middle of the semester, which meant she was starting at a time when everyone else had already settled in. The thought of being the "new girl" again was daunting, but Y/N was determined to make the most of it. After all, this was her chance to leave her past behind and embrace whatever the future held.

Y/N's first day at UNIL dawned bright and clear. She took a deep breath, adjusted her backpack, and stepped into the bustling campus. The university was a blend of old and new, with modern buildings interspersed with ancient stone structures. Students milled about, chatting in various languages, creating a lively atmosphere.

Y/N found her way to her first class, a literature seminar that was held in a charming, ivy-covered building. She entered the room, feeling the weight of dozens of eyes on her as she searched for an empty seat. Her gaze swept over the rows of students until it landed on a group of seven boys sitting near the back. They were all strikingly handsome, with an air of confidence and something else something cold and distant—that set them apart from the others.

One of them, a boy with tousled brown hair and piercing eyes, was staring directly at her. His gaze was intense, almost as if he recognized her. Y/N felt a shiver run down her spine, but she quickly averted her eyes and took a seat a few rows ahead, her heart pounding.

As the professor began the lecture, Y/N couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. Every time she glanced over her shoulder, she found the boy Taehyung, she later learned his name was still staring at her with that same unreadable expression. It was unnerving, to say the least, but there was something about him that also drew her in, despite the coldness in his eyes.

After class, Y/N gathered her things quickly, eager to escape the room. As she was about to leave, another boy from the group approached her. He had dark hair and a warm smile that seemed out of place among his friends' colder expressions.

"Hi, I'm Jungkook," he introduced himself, extending a hand. "You're new here, right?"

Y/N smiled, grateful for the friendly gesture. "Yes, I'm Y/N. I just transferred from the United States."

"Nice to meet you, Y/N. Don't worry about Taehyung," Jungkook added, glancing back at his friend. "He's... well, he's not always like that."

Y/N nodded, though she wasn't entirely convinced. "Thanks. It's nice to meet you too, Jungkook."

As they talked, Y/N noticed that the rest of the boys were watching them closely, particularly Taehyung, whose gaze hadn't softened at all. It was as if he was trying to figure her out, like she was some kind of puzzle.
